We specialize in the industries of swine production, corn and soybean production, construction contractors and those in the restaurant and bar industry. We provide services in the areas of auditing, accounting and bookkeeping, consulting, business valuations, tax planning and compliance services, and succession planning. LattaHarris, LLP, was formed in 1981, in Washington, Iowa. Since that time the Firm has expanded and now includes a staff of approximately eighty people with offices in Cedar Rapids, Durant, Grundy Center, Iowa City, Toledo, Tipton, and Washington. At LattaHarris, we strive to provide the highest quality professional services possible and to utilize the full extent of our abilities to help our clients achieve their goals.

Here's some fun history about the "I Voted" sticker: The most recognized white sticker with the flag was created in 1987 by business owner Janet Boudreau, which she sketched at her dining room table. Others, such as the Miami Herald, claim to have an "I Have Voted" sticker back in the 1950's from a local election as well as the Phoenix Association of Realtors from 1985. Over the weekend, Grundy Center Chamber-Main Street hosted the Business Boo & Kid/Pet Parade. Pictured is LattaHarris employee Cassie with daughter Rory, handing out candy for our stand. They were first given a tour of the office, followed by job shadowing several service lines. There’s something special about riding in the combine during harvest, especially with my dad and my girls. As we roll through the cornfields, we talk about everything—grain and cattle markets, current tax laws, and life…when the girls are along, it’s usually about what snacks Papa has that day. 🤣 This year, as corn prices drop, I can’t help but think how critical it is for businesses to plan ahead.
