Exactly one month ago, billionaire Elon Musk amplified a post that appeared to suggest that Democracy would work better if voting was restricted only to "high status males." This matters in a context where around the country the right to vote is under attack as states push for new voter ID laws, eliminate same-day voter registration and fail to address voter intimidation. Meanwhile, the former president told the Fraternal Order of Police weeks ahead of the election to "Watch for the voter fraud... believe it or not, they’re afraid of that badge." This matters in a context where around the country vigilante-type “election integrity” watchdogs and poll watcher groups are forming.
