In 2022, more than 10,000 Americans over the age of 65 died from suicide. According to the National Council on Aging, older adults tend to plan suicide more carefully and use more lethal methods than younger adults. The mental health of aging adults will be a topic at our Elder Care Symposium on September 12th. Mary Wolff is the Coordinator for the Hamilton County Suicide Prevention Coalition at Talbert House.
