For example, PA Medicaid does not provide coverage for over 100 codes and their rates have not changed since 1986 and are extremely low. To help overcome these obstacles, we have worked thru our state association contacts and state legislation to address our concerns. We are happy to share that Senator Tartaglione, from the Kensington area of Philadelphia has agreed to sponsor a bill which helps ensure that PA Medicaid recipients are able to get the care they need and deserve. Yesterday we got to spend the morning at the NJ State Capitol building, drumming up support and sponsors for bills S1439 and A3856 which would provide insurance coverage for orthotic and prosthetic devices designed for physical activity!! SO EVERYBODY CAN MOVE is a movement that has taken the country by storm. We are looking forward to New Jersey being added as the list of states who believe movement is medicine and physical activity is a right not a privilege. #SEBCM #SoEverybodyCanMove #advocacy #amputeefittness

Our Sales Rep Megan Tilley was excited to be a part of Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River. Megan was able to help educate the patients, family members and staff on the patient care we provide to our patients in the community.

TeamLawall had a great night earlier this month at TopGolf! It is always a blast getting out of the office and spending time with our patients. We had some participants who were first timers and soaked up tips from our EAGA adaptive golf instructor Lou Namm. And others who play regularly and worked on some minor tweaks to their swing. But across the board just socializing with other amputees was fantastic and what it is all about!

Last week Chris Doerger PT/prosthetist came to NJ to help us offer a great course to Physical Therapists in North and South Jersey! Chris did a great job explaining how to evaluate gait mechanics and posture, as well as, interventions to help with safety and mobility of amputees. Our patient volunteers helped us all better understand the design and function of microprocessor knees and how to implement these functions into gait training to optimize performance!
