Celebrating Our 2024 Summer Internship Program at LayerZero Power Systems This summer, we had the privilege of hosting an incredibly talented group of interns from prestigious institutions like Case Western Reserve University, The Ohio State University, and Purdue University. Our 2024 cohort, with majors ranging from Software Engineering to Environmental Engineering, made substantial contributions to our mission. These were active contributors to LayerZero's projects. Whether it was Callum's work on software reliability, Meghan's initiatives in environmental sustainability, or Chris H's innovative mechanical designs, each intern brought fresh perspectives and invaluable skills to the table. Beyond technical achievements, our internship program emphasized professional development, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving. We're incredibly proud of what our interns have accomplished and are excited to see what the future holds for them. Curious to learn more about their journey? LayerZero Power Systems Supports Local Hunger Relief Efforts We are excited to share that LayerZero Power Systems has donated warehouse space at our Philipp Parkway facility in Streetsboro, Ohio, to Food2Share, a local non-profit dedicated to fighting hunger in Aurora. This initiative reflects our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. About Food2Share Since 2004, Food2Share has been making a significant impact on the Aurora community. Founded by Bruce Harris, the organization has grown to meet the increasing demand for food assistance. Their signature program, Fill a Bag, Feed a Family, mobilizes volunteers to collect food donations from 7,000 homes in Aurora. Thanks to the support of local churches, the mayor, and the school superintendent, the program collected an impressive 54,000 pounds of food in 2023, supporting four local food pantries. Community Involvement Community support is crucial to the success of Fill a Bag, Feed a Family. Each April, around 600 volunteers come together to ensure the drive’s success. The organization’s website, myfillabag.com, lists the needed items and provides volunteer sign-up information. Donations and volunteers are welcomed year-round to support the Aurora and Mantua food pantries. Our Partnership At LayerZero, we are proud to provide warehouse space for Food2Share. This enables local food pantries to access the food and supplies they need. As Mike Shydlowski, a volunteer with the Knights of Columbus, stated, “We truly appreciate what you’re doing here and providing a warehouse and accessibility so that we can keep this food available.” To learn more about Food2Share and how you can get involved, visit myfillabag.com or reach out to Bruce Harris at F2S.bruceh@gmail.com or Kathy Kramer at F2S.kathyk@gmail.com.
