Check out this post about our successful completion of a complex double-lined wastewater treatment and biogas collection lagoon featuring an 80 mil HDPE liner and Geovolt® geocomposite installation. Zero accumulated leakage was detected. #SustainableSolutions #EngineeringExcellence #WasteWater
A large and challenging recent double lined wastewater treatment and biogas collection lagoon. This project had vertical walls that transitioned into 2/1 slopes to the floor. We temporarily installed 80 sand filled meter bags required to help keep the vertical wall section properly ballasted. Layfield Geosynthetics manufactured and installed approximately 330,000 ft2 of 80 mil HDPE and 170,000 ft2 of GeoVolt conductive geotextile laminated geocomposite. The GeoVolt conductive geocomposite allowed us to electrically spark test the complete liner surface area. Project took 2 ½ months to complete. At final completion, the system was water tested and checked for the allowable ALR of 6.37m3 / day. The installation had zero accumulated leakage detected. Another high quality installation by the Layfield construction team. #geosynthetics #geomembranes #anaerobicdigester #geotechnicalengineering Layfield Geosynthetics #digester #wastewater
