Occupational health and safety and environmental protection – two things that are particularly important for us. To appreciate the achievements of our employees in these areas, we annually present our internal HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Awards. This year not in two categories as in the past, but in three: 🏆 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 & 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧 (𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲) The team was recognized for their work at the site, particularly in the area of load carrier preparation, which significantly improved safety. New shelving was installed, work areas were restructured, and paths and signs were clearly marked. Most importantly, however, pedestrians and vehicles were clearly separated to reduce the risk of accidents. 🏆 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐥 (𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚) The team implemented a wide range of environmental protection measures. Water consumption at the site was reduced by 50% through conservation programs and reuse measures. Energy-efficient lighting has decreased energy consumption and renewable energy reduced emissions. In addition, the team organizes an annual Environmental Week and participates in local projects such as tree planting. 🏆 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐌𝐝 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐚𝐛 (𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚) This award was given for the first time to recognize individuals for their achievements. The first recipient is Md Aftab from the Leadec team in Delhi. He has earned an excellent reputation among colleagues and customers for his ability to communicate safety on an emotional level and inspire his team on a personal level. Building a gigafactory is the first step - but getting it up and running is highly complex. As a greenfield expert, Leadec has already supported the ramp-up of gigafactories in Europe, the USA and Asia with its services. Special challenges already arise during the acceptance of the machines; preparatory measures to ensure technical cleanliness in the production environment must be taken at an early stage. In addition, a team of highly specialized shop floor maintenance personnel has to be established, and specific fire protection and emergency response concepts must to be developed for high-voltage production. Driving the future of electrification 🚗🔋 At Leadec, we support our automotive customers in their transition towards electric vehicle production. Our latest contract is a greenfield project in the US, at two locations in Tennessee and Kentucky. From 2025, not only electric vehicles but also batteries will be produced there in brand new gigafactories. Leadec is currently directly on site to support seamless operations with Integrated Facility Management. This means that we bundle all facility services – for example maintenance, technical cleaning, and vendor management – into one package. In this way, we ensure that our customers can concentrate on their core business – in this case, the development and production of the vehicles of the future. #emobility #greenfield #rampup #gigafactory

Occupational safety plays an enormous role, especially in a factory environment. At Leadec, the well-being of our employees is of particular importance. A key component in this context is the topic of culture, as it influences the behavior, commitment and responsibility of employees as well as risk perception. In 2019, a socio-environmental transformation of the European Union was launched with the EU Green Deal. The set goal: to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union to zero by 2050 and thus become the first continent to be climate-neutral. Leadec has managed to prepare for the regulations of the EU Green Deal at an early stage and ahead of the reportable period. Furthermore, we support our customers with special services to make their own production more climate-neutral. High-voltage batteries have been repaired at the competence center for batteries in Hoyerswerda since 2022. This is much more cost-effective than a new battery and more sustainable. This expertise can also be used for other services.
