About us

LeaderFlow is a non-profit organization focused on accelerating the pipeline to leadership primarily for professionals of color in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. Through our annual leadership development program, we provide support, fellowship, mentoring, coaching, and sponsorship for talented professionals of color in order to accelerate their paths to leadership, thus building true momentum towards a more equitable industry. The first leadership development program was launched in 2021 as a partnership between the Southern California Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects and KPFF Engineers. There was a cohort of 12 individuals from architecture, engineering and construction firms that participated in a 7 month curriculum of interactive training sessions facilitated by top industry professionals and leaders. The inaugural program garnered much interest in replicating the program for other industry professionals. The program’s success led the program organizer, John Gavan, to partner with one of the original cohort participants, Janiece Williams, to launch LeaderFlow. Our vision is to bring together passionate and accomplished leaders along with talented diverse professionals within the AEC industry to make connections, build relationships and grow into leadership. LeaderFlow is a project of Community Partners, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and intermediary organization. For more information, please contact our Executive Director at janiece@leaderflow.org.
