  • Calling all LA grads and friends! One of the LA 42 project teams wanted to find a way to support our local public schools. After doing lots of research they learned that there was a great need to add second-grade teaching assistants to classrooms. They have been working to fund one such position at Pisgah Elementary School...and you can help by participating in: Run for Education! Calling all runners and walkers in Western North Carolina! Join us for the Pisgah 5K, hosted by Pisgah Elementary School in Candler, NC on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. This family-friendly event is more than just a race - it's a chance to support a great cause! All proceeds go directly towards funding a much-needed 2nd grade teaching assistant at Pisgah Elementary. Here's why you should participate: Beautiful Course: Enjoy a scenic route at the base of Mt. Pisgah surrounded by beautiful fall colors. Family-Friendly Fun: Bring the whole family for a day of exercise and community spirit! Support Local Education: Help us provide our students with the resources they deserve.
