We have the pleasure and honour to bring together four amazing voices, Melissa Hernández Méndez🇲🇽, Muhammed Lamin Saidykhan🇬🇲, Gabriel R. Concha Caicedo🇨🇱 & Lautaro Ezequiel Carranza🇦🇷. who will speak on transforming how we organize and mobilize, not just for climate action but also on access to information, civic participation & justice. Why this session? Climate activists have ignited a global movement, rallying millions to demand urgent change. But to truly dismantle the systems fueling climate destruction we need to go beyond protests and rallies. Our action session, as part of NY Climate Week, is about revolutionizing how we organize and mobilize. 📣Radical Change Requires Radical Collaboration. To build movements that can challenge the status quo, we must rethink our strategies, tools, and spaces. It’s not enough to have numbers — we need those numbers to be deeply connected, empowered, and strategic. We need secure, autonomous platforms where activists can come together, plan, and act without fear of surveillance or suppression. 🌍 Securing Space for Civil Society in a Restrictive World. With now only 2% of the world’s population being able to organize without restrictions, it is imperative that we solve this challenge, in order to provide secure physical and digital spaces to amplify the voices and power of civil society - especially those who bear the brunt of climate impacts. Our discussion session is truly a call to action. It’s about creating the infrastructure for a new wave of activism — one that’s decentralized, resilient, and unstoppable.
