  • How to fail at digital transformation 101....🎓 🚫Fail to plan. Plan to fail. 🚫No understanding of requirements. 🚫No internal resources to manage said transformation. 🚫Analysis paralysis. TOO MANY DEMOS. 🚫No executive sponsorship or steering committee 🚫Lack of change management. #digitaltransformation or really any technology implementation: ✅A plan - what are you trying to accomplish and what problem are you solving for? ✅Understanding needs vs wants and what your business actually requires of a system is fundamental in finding the right solution. ✅Have you identified the person or people accountable for the implementation or transformation? Do THEY know what they are responsible for? ✅Got demo fatigue? There is such a thing people. When we look at too much tech, we don't retain much. Requirements directly impact this one. If you know what you need - you'll look at less #tech ✅This is a big one. To "transform" you need a vision. That vision typically comes from your Executives - we need their vision to get buy in on the "transformation." - This will help with adoption, attitudes, and overall morale when the scary CHANGE is coming! ✅You need to treat #transformation like an internal marketing campaign. Get your people excited, get them bought in, and let them see where you are headed - I PROMISE if you put the work in - they will too. Want to learn more? Reach out! What other reasons have you seen? • "IT IS NEVER TOO LATE" I have been thinking about this phrase a lot lately as we look to grow Leap Consulting and I'm being asked some VERY pointed questions about our future... And on this fine #womencrushwednesday I need to tell each and every one of you women with a dream that it is NEVER TOO LATE and YOU get to decide when the time is right. I call Leap Consulting Solutions my "EMPTY NESTER BUSINESS BABY." 👶🏻 Y'all know I love a good story, so here we go: I was getting really down on myself about NOT doing this entrepreneurial journey sooner. And since I'm doing the work on learning to be kinder to myself...I stopped that thought track VERY quickly. Here is why: 🟢I had two young girls and a job that afforded me a ton of flexibility 🟢I appreciated the "safety (although we know no job is ever guaranteed)" of having stability - it helped me focus when I was with my girls 🟢I traveled less, slept more, and was responsible for a very specific segment of the business Short answer, it worked for me then! But ladies - just because it worked for you then - doesn't mean you cannot change your mind when you are ready for something different. If circumstances change and you find yourself ready to take on the next challenge -don't let a single person tell you that it's "too late" or " you missed your shot." Cuz the only shots you miss are the ones you don't take. 🟡I was 46 when I started my company 🟡I was 47 when I wrote Together We Rise with 14 Rockstars 🟡I was 48 when I began expanding my speaking practice... The POINT is YOU DECIDE. It worked for me then and I would NOT have wanted to be an entrepreneur during those critical years for my girls. Period. It didn't work for me then. It works for me now...NOW I can: 🟠Come to the office on the weekends 🟠Travel more extensively 🟠Work long hours This is what it takes and I was not ready to take that on AND have my girls...it works for some, didn't work for me AND that is ok... YOU CHOOSE, YOU DECIDE. Now go kick whatever but you're ready to kick! 🔥😂🤣 thanks for our founder, Lauren B. Jones 🐐for the friday inspiration #womensupportingwomen #entrepreneur

  • The 4 Stages of Change Resistance: Change can be tough, especially when it's something we're not expecting or don't want. But it's important to remember that everyone goes through the same four stages of change resistance: denial, resistance, exploration, commitment. Denial 🙈 In the denial stage, we refuse to believe that change is happening. We may make excuses, minimize the impact of the change, or blame others. Resistance😡 Once we realize that change is inevitable, we may become angry. We may feel resentful, betrayed, or victimized. We may also express our anger through passive-aggressive behavior or sabotage. 👀 Exploration🤝 The exploration stage of change is a time of possibilities and skepticism. Employees are looking towards the future, but they're also hesitant to take the plunge. Leaders can help by being patient and supportive, and encouraging employees to explore their options. A little cake and a listening ear can also go a long way.🍰 Commitment ⭐ Committed employees are like unicorns: rare and magical. 🦄 To transform committed employees into champions, acknowledge and reward them. Champions are advocates for change and help drive others through the change curve. You need champions! P.S. If you see a unicorn, don't forget to offer it a carrot. Which stage of change resistance are you in right now? • More Words of Wisdom from the GOAT Leader Technology may be an important tool when it comes to changing a business model, but it's not enough on its own. Companies must ensure that they have a digital strategy in place if they are serious about transforming the way their business works. Without digital transformation, companies will struggle to keep up with their competitors and will miss out on opportunities for innovation and growth.
