Its been an exciting week being at and participating in Arena International Events Group's 2nd Annual #RareDisease Conference! Thank you to everyone that we met and for all the impactful conversations. At Leapcure, we understand that rare disease clinical trials require more than just typical #patientengagement — they require compassion and empathy. Our unique approach bridges the gaps between the intricate needs of rare disease patients, sponsors, #advocacy groups, and trial sites. During the conference, Kartik Ramkumar, Leapcure's VP of DEI, took the stage to share our expertise on how we can work together to build EQuitable Clinical Trials that combine emotional intelligent connections with a focus on increasing access for all patients while delivering Win-Win-Win results for sponsors, sites and patients alike. Let’s continue to uncover and reduce barriers for patients to access rare disease research!
About us
Our mission : EQuitable Clinical Trials Integrating both equity and emotional intelligence for research. Our successes came not from simply identifying patients that met a checklist of items, but by rolling up our curiosity sleeves, spending time learning about each journey from patients, study staff and getting us all to a win-win-win. We take the time to learn why patients of all backgrounds might look to us for support and what’s underneath. We make the effort to put ourselves in the shoes of research site staff and complement their clinical research endeavors. Our work is categorically different to just patient recruitment. We are on a path of a whole new category of patient engagement and clinical trial businesses and services.

To use a golf analogy, Running EQuitable Clinical Trials is like mastering the right club for every situation. It's also about establishing great personal connections on the course. Our Topgolf scores came in from the leapcure product and engineering team last night and ... While some of us are still figuring out the clubs, at least the personal connections were on point! 😂

Our mission since 2015 has not only been to make advocacy an integral part of the research ecosystem, but to make partnerships with them truly reciprocal. By ensuring authenticity and reciprocity is at the core of the collaboration, we're creating lasting partnerships that strengthen their ability to support their patient communities. This is especially important in rare disease spaces such as Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). Here's our latest blog to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eE93cTtV

There is something for everyone involved in #EQuitableClinicalTrials
Winning a fantasy football league feels great. Could anything feel better? Actually, there is something that feels better: Win-Win-Wins. When I win my league in fantasy football, my gain is the pain of my friends and family. As you can see by the photo (2022 and 2023 trophies not pictured courtesy of Eric Gobst), I have some experience in this area. But there’s a better feeling out there, that happens every day (and never gets old) when a leapcure patient success coordinator is able to build trust with a patient. It’s a win-win-win when a patient success coordinator is able to make space for patients to feel heard, help patients learn about which studies could be a fit for them, and coordinate availability with research sites. The Win-Win-Win: The patient is able to explore clinical trial interest in a system that works for them to get to their best outcome. The research site benefits from improved capacity and engaged patients that lead to further trusted interactions and help them make time for more research activity. The patient success coordinator experiences the fulfillment of being able to personally leave a patient better off than they were before, thanks to them. The research sponsor sees their study progress with improved accessibility and broader participation than they’d otherwise be able to achieve. The advocacy groups get to seamlessly be part of the patient education and awareness process, with leapcure often helping with their patient support and exposure. These collective positive experiences not only improve outcomes for this study but also generate trust and positive word of mouth for future clinical trials. Don’t get me wrong, it’ll feel great to take down my friends in Fantasy Football this year again. But the real champs create win-win-wins, like my team of patient success coordinators. Eric Gobst should make them their trophies first. #FantasyFootball #WinWinWin #EQuitableClinicalTrials #ClinicalTrials #HealthcareHeroes #WinningTogether #TrustBuilding #ResearchInnovation

Research sites bogged down and fed up? Did digital patient recruitment overpromise again? Managing #patientrecruitment can often feel like an endless uphill battle. Research sites are frequently overwhelmed by an influx of leads that fail to convert resulting in wasted time, strained resources, and missed timelines. Real concerns come up about sites turning their focus elsewhere due from frustration. From a timeline perspective, the stakes are high. At Leapcure, we’re redefining what successful recruitment looks like through our #EQuitableClinicalTrials approach. This isn’t just about "lead generation"—it’s about fostering genuine connections, earning trust, and making sure every interaction is purposeful, integrated, and impactful. We believe in an empathetic and inclusive process that empowers research sites to engage with patients meaningfully, leading to stronger outcomes and more efficient #enrollment for studies. It’s not just about checking boxes; it’s about creating lasting value for all stakeholders— sponsors, sites, and patients alike. Together, we can turn recruitment from burdens into breakthroughs. #ClinicalTrials #ResearchInnovation #PatientEngagement
