Hi colleagues! I'm reaching out to find potential partners for an exciting research project at the intersection of human-AI interaction, anthropology, and the learning sciences. We're preparing a proposal which aims to advance humanities scholarship through AI-based technology. We are on a fast timeline (one week) and we're particularly seeking a scholar who meets the following criteria: 1. Established publishing record in human-computer interaction, viewed through an anthropological, linguistic, or cultural lens 2. Passion for and ability to participate in a human+AI research project examining these interactions from an anthropological perspective 3. Experience as a Principal Investigator on large research projects 4. University affiliation (desired, but not mandatory) If you're interested or know someone who might be a good fit, please respond to this post or contact me directly. I'd be happy to discuss the project in more detail and explore potential collaboration. Looking forward to connecting with potential partners! #ai #humanitiesresearch #learningsciences #humancomputerinteraction

Hello LinkedIn community! We are looking for PARTNERS to join us on several grant funding opportunities. Please reach out to us if you know of any schools/teachers/LEAs that fit the following criteria and would be interested in: --participating in an early math professional development program for teachers design to increase their depth and breadth of the early mathematics knowledge space, and how to help learners systematically develop their mathematical knowledge, without gaps, in the early years (e.g., the science of learning mathematics) --receiving a stipend for participating in this grant / research program --earning a micro-credential for mathematics domain expertise --working collaboratively with researchers to develop, test, and iterate on mathematics learning progressions Criteria: -- we are targeting PreK through 3rd grade teachers (we may accept other grades if we do not find enough partners) --must work with student populations most at risk for math difficulty (for the purposes of the grant requirements, this means black, latino, and low income students) --must be willing to commit to a year of professional development and collaboration Some of the grant projects begin in January 2025, and others begin in September 2025. Please reach out to Anastasia Betts, Ph.D. with questions, nominations, or suggestions, thank you!

I'm eager to share my latest article, "Unveiling the Power of Math Parenting Identity: Insights from New Research." I'll be diving deeper into this transformative concept at the upcoming International Society for the Learning Sciences conference from June 10-14. As an educational researcher and parent, I've always been fascinated by the factors that shape children's math learning experiences. My dissertation research led me to develop the RESET framework and identify a new concept: Math Parenting Identity (MPI). 🧮💡 MPI lies at the intersection of Math Learner Identity and Parenting Identity, capturing how parents view themselves as their children's first math educators. Through real-life examples and the lens of the RESET framework, my latest article explores how MPI manifests in and influences the home math learning environments of young children. 🏡✏️ But this isn't just about parents--I invite everyone to reflect on their own experiences with math parenting, whether as parents yourselves or as individuals shaped by your upbringing. By understanding the power of MPI, we can work together to create nurturing environments that foster a love for math. 🌟 If you're you're planning to attend the ISLS conference, please join me on June 11th at 3:30pm EST for my session on Math Parenting Identity! 🗓️🎉 Let's engage in meaningful conversations and unlock the secrets to empowering the next generation of confident math learners. 🗝️ I can't wait to hear your thoughts and experiences!
