We were excited to participate in the Howard Community College 5K Challenge Race to support a great cause and help raise some money for scholarships. It was a beautiful day for a run and I averaged just over a 4-minute mile, if you consider a 9-minute mile just over 4!

Karen Gleba, P.E. and I were thrilled to recently attend the ribbon cutting for the Engineering and Collaborative Research and Education (ECoRE) building at Penn State. The ECoRE building will foster new growth and culture in the College of Engineering with state of the art spaces for research and next generation learning spaces for students. The building is truly impressive and makes me even prouder to be a Penn State Engineer. We Are! Penn State Engineering!

Today was my last day interning with Legacy Engineering Group. Thank you to everyone at Legacy for creating such a welcoming environment! Over the past 3 months I have had the opportunity to learn so much about the world of MEP engineering. Whether it was site visits, design work, or routing mechanical equipment, I was able to challenge myself over the course of the summer and finally utilize what I’ve learned at University of Maryland Baltimore County. Today we celebrated our awesome interns, Margaret Kreis and Charles Bennici, for #NationalInternDay with lunch at one of our neighborhood favorites, Franco's Italian Bistro. Maggie and Charles have become an integral part of our team this summer, from early morning treks to project sites to climbing ladders for above-ceiling survey to wearing bunny suits in sterile areas to many facets of MEP design.
