Living a life committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

When I met Cesar Quintero more than ten years ago, I was inspired by the way he approached leadership and accountability. After moving from Venezuela to the U.S. as a young entrepreneur, Cesar’s journey has taken him from spectacular business success to devastating failure, and back again. Cesar is an excellent trainer, who is passionate about sharing the lessons he learned to empower leaders like you. That's why I would love for you to be my guest at the virtual masterclass he's presenting for our Manager Development Program. *Leading a Culture of Accountability: Align, Communicate, Execute* Thursday, November 7th at 12 PM Eastern Cesar will be sharing insights on how to: - Align your team around a shared vision. - Systemize accountability without the friction. - Communicate effectively and consistently. - Foster follow through so your team can execute with precision. Ready to level up your leadership? RSVP at the link below to save your spot!

Living a life committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Are poorly trained managers costing you profits and productivity? It’s a startling reality: 60% of new managers fail within their first two years. Yet, many organizations continue to promote their top performers into managerial roles without providing the necessary training and support. This oversight can lead to stagnation, disengagement, and ultimately, a decline in team performance. Our 6-month online program is designed specifically for frontline and mid-level managers who are eager to enhance their leadership capabilities. Through interactive monthly classes and self-paced learning, participants dive deep into essential topics such as priority mapping, accountability through metrics, and effective communication strategies. Imagine a workplace where managers are equipped to navigate difficult conversations, hold their teams accountable, and inspire performance. This isn’t just a dream; it’s achievable with the right tools and training. So, I pose this question to you: What are the biggest challenges you see in your organization when it comes to managerial effectiveness? #Leadership #Management #Training

Living a life committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Promoting from within is a powerful way to elevate your best talent—if done right. But here’s the hard truth: 60% of new managers fail within 24 months. Why? They’re expected to “grow into the role” without proper training. I made this mistake too. Years ago, I promoted a star employee who was great at their job, but they struggled with managing people. Productivity tanked, team morale plummeted, and frustration mounted—on both sides. Here’s the thing: Being good at your job doesn’t mean you’ll be good at managing people. The skills required are entirely different. To succeed, managers to develop skills in three key areas: - Understanding leadership and personality styles - Measuring what matters with the right metrics - Navigating conflict and difficult conversations I believe these areas are so important that we designed our Manager Development curriculum around them. And the results have been transformative. It's the program I wish I'd had back when I made the mistake of promoting a star employee...without the proper training. (By the way, he and I did figure it out the hard way. We worked to develop his management and leadership skills, and he grew into an excellent leader of a great team with great results.) When you promote someone, don’t just hand them a new title—give them the training they need to step up as a leader. Let's make sure our managers are set up for success from day one. How do you support new managers and up-and-coming leaders in your company? I'd love to hear about your experiences in the comments. If you could use support in this area, we'd be glad to help. I'll include a link to our training course below.

What does swinging for success look like for you?

Living a life committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Did you know that Babe Ruth once held the record for the most strikeouts?   He also held the record for the most home runs.   Babe Ruth had the vulnerability to get up and swing the bat over and over, knowing he might not succeed. There’s a lot we can learn from his example on the importance of risking failure.   How do you feel about putting yourself out there and possibly striking out?   It's not easy, but it's critical for us to embrace vulnerability in the pursuit of "home runs" as entrepreneurs.   I'll share my perspective on this in this week's newsletter. If you'd like to subscribe, I'll include the link below.

As Rumi once said, “Travel brings power and love back to your life.”   Do you agree?   I do. I've seen it over and over at our Couples Retreats.   We've been really fortunate to host and facilitate these events for couples to learn and grow together. It's wonderful to see how stepping out of the daily routine in a beautiful setting lets them reconnect and rediscover each other.   Last week, I shared an article from Jean Brault all about how travel has strengthened our marriage, and I loved hearing about where others would travel with their partner.   If you'd like some inspiration to travel together or you're curious to learn more about the retreats we host, I'll include links below.

Jean and I both love to travel. We recently spent a month living and working in Greece. Do you know what the biggest takeaway was? Hint, it wasn't the fantastic food or wine or views...   It was this: Travel makes our marriage stronger.   For the last four years, we've spent a month together abroad – Ireland, Italy, France, and Greece.   If you could go anywhere in the world to live and work for a month, where would you go? 🌍   Let me know in the comments!   In this week's newsletter, I'm sharing an article from Jean about how travel benefits couples. If you're in a committed relationship, I'll include the link below - this will be great inspiration for you to plan a trip!   Jean is a certified Gottman Seven Principles Leader and passionate about helping entrepreneurial couples enhance their relationships. I'm grateful that she has led the way in making our marriage a strong, loving relationship!   Always grateful, Brian

I empower business and family leaders to live an intentional family life | Keynote Speaker | Workshop Facilitator | EOS Implementor | Wife, Mom, & Entrepreneur

Legacy is a powerful word. It isn’t just a concept reserved for historical figures and the so-called greats of our time. It’s a notion that holds immense power in shaping our lives and the lives of those around us. We all inherited a legacy, whether we realized it or not, from our parents, who inherited a legacy from their parents, who inherited it from theirs. Our legacy is what we leave behind. If all of the stuff and things go away, it’s what we’re left with. It’s what we give our kids when we’re gone. And it begins with the actions we make each and every day. Our actions today determine the legacy we will leave in years to come. If today is a vote toward your legacy, what is today’s vote for?
