Last week, we held our first-ever Justice Unbound Books and Breakfast event. It was a fantastic event that brought together members of the legal community (and some from outside the sector) to discuss Barbara Kingsolver’s book Demon Copperhead. The book club's goal is to bridge the distance between those who support us (or who could support us) and those we serve and have meaningful conversations about civil justice, poverty, and our responsibility as a society to each other. At Books and Breakfast, it was clear that this book club can help us engage in productive and empath-building conversations. Check out pictures and materials from our first Books & Breakfast. https://lnkd.in/eFPj_q9P Our next book is MAID by Stephanie Land which will be discussed on Thursday, February 13th at 8:30 AM at our next Books & Breakfast! We would love to have you join us! https://lnkd.in/eV9As7cF
