Even the best security teams have blind spots, and seasoned professionals know that threats can lie dormant, hidden within unsecured corners of the network. Despite robust controls in place, vulnerabilities are often found in the operational side of the business: 1. Incomplete patch management processes 2. Gaps in employee awareness, despite repeated training 3. Over-reliance on legacy systems or overlooked supply chain risks These aren't just "beginner" mistakes—they're complex, evolving challenges that demand continuous visibility. Regardless of their maturity, security programs can always gain value from an external perspective. That's where our security assessments come in. At Legato Security, we provide deep, context-specific assessments tailored to your environment, uncovering gaps that even the most experienced teams can miss. When was the last time your systems were reviewed with a fresh, critical lens? This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, let’s look beyond the basics. Consider an assessment with us today. For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we'd like to highlight our HR Director, Rebekah Rogers, who just passed her 3-year anniversary with Legato Security! What makes Legato Security so special? Our leadership—especially Tom and Jen—truly trust the people they hire. This confidence creates an environment where we’re empowered to do our best work and contribute meaningfully to the team. It’s this level of trust and support that makes Legato an exceptional place to work.   What is the most rewarding thing about your position in Human Resources? I love creating meaningful employee experiences. We’ve developed an equitable pay structure and are working with leadership to set our 2025 goals. We’re also enhancing employee engagement with a regular eNPS cadence, forming a DE&I committee, and revamping our onboarding process. It’s exciting to be part of these initiatives as we expand our hiring across multiple states. It may sound unusual, but I genuinely love my job and am passionate about building a workplace that truly matters—even if we’re still getting there.   If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would it be and what would you bring home as a souvenir? If I could travel anywhere tomorrow, it would be Morocco. The rich history, vibrant colors, diverse landscapes from beaches to deserts, and the allure of North African culture captivate me. As a souvenir, I'd bring home a small beach stone to add to my rock gardens, which contain mementos from my various travels around the world.
