Happy Halloween from our #Legendary team! Earlier this month, we hosted our 2024 Fall All Hands Meeting, where team members showcased their creativity in our annual costume contest. This year’s competition was fierce, with teams and individuals drawing inspiration from the latest movies and impressing us not just with their costumes but also with their stage performances! A big thank you to our guest speaker, Joshua Sullivan for his insightful presentation on Emergency Preparedness & Personal Protection. His expertise provided valuable insights that really hit home for our team about the importance of being prepared in any situation! As part of our ongoing commitment to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, our teams collected aluminum tabs from their communities throughout the year. These tabs are very important because RMHC is able to reccyle them for cash value, which will directly help support families with children facing long-term hospitalizations. We are excited to announce that we collected over 20 pounds of tabs! This is one of our favorite meetings of the year as it allows us to practice some of our core values like Balance Work & Play by coming together and embracing the Halloween spirit. As well as Inspiring & Empowering our team members through sharing important company updates and recognizing everyone's achievments. We are excited to congratulate our #Legendary teams for their outstanding achievements at the 2024 MMHA (The Maryland Multi-Housing Association) Star Awards last week! This annual event celebrates the best and the brightest in the Maryland multifamily housing industry, awarding excellence in a variety of categories. We are so proud of The Elms at Odenton for winning SILVER, in the ‘Garden Community $1,950 & Above’ category. Additionally, we are thrilled that The Elms at Old Mill & The Elms at Shannon's Glen were recognized as Star Certified Communities. Last week, several of our #Legendary team members took part in the 2024 PMEXPO, where they networked with fellow professionals, discovered new industry trends, and attended various informative sessions. We are also proud to share that our very own Director of Talent Development and Brand Reputation, Karen Trueman, alongside Olu Sekoni, Concierge Sales Executive at InterSolutions, LLC, led a session on "Mastering the Art of Attracting and Retaining Stellar Talent." Their presentation covered key strategies for building a strong workplace culture, including developing a clear employer brand, understanding employee motivators, and enhancing training to retain top talent. We know the insights and expertise shared will help others navigate the waters of talent attraction and retention! We had the pleasure of attending the Property Management Scholarship Awards Dinner at Virginia Tech. Our Legend Management Group interns, Luke Taylor and Mackenzie Gillespie were each awarded two scholarships. We are so happy and proud to see them continue to shine every day!

July was Team Member Appreciation Month at Legend, and we took the time to recognize the dedication and hard work of our #Legendary team members. The month was filled with activities and treats, including team breakfasts, fun team-building activities, and bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. And of course, every team member was given $100 to spend at the Legend SWAG store to pick out items of their choosing! At Legend, we believe in putting People First, and Team Member Appreciation Month was a great way to show our team how much we value their hard work and contributions. July may be over, but our appreciation continues year-round. Today is National Intern Day and we are thrilled to recognize Luke Taylor and Mackenzie Gillespie, our #Legendary Summer Interns! Our internship program offers young aspiring professionals the invaluable opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the multifaceted property management industry. At Legend, we believe in nurturing talent and providing a platform for future leaders to grow. Since joining us, Luke and Kenzie have quickly become integral members of our team, diving into their roles and experiencing Legend's culture and values in action. They've spent a majority of their time learning and working alongside our corporate and onsite teams like The Elms at Shannon's Glen, The Elms at Odenton, Elms Fells Point, and Elms at the refuge. As they continue the program, we look forward to seeing them further develop their skills and having some more #Legendary fun with our teams. We kicked off the summer season in #Legendary fashion with our annual summer picnic! This year’s theme was ‘The Power of We’, which is all about celebrating the spirit of teamwork and our collective efforts that drive Legend’s success! The picnic was held at Padonia in Baltimore, MD, where there were many fun activities and delicious food for our team members to enjoy! As part of our Legend Cares efforts to support a charitable organization, we collected donations for Bridging The Gap, a charity whose mission is to support those affected by the recent Key Bridge tragedy. However, this year, our fundraiser event had a delicious twist as we had team members go head-to-head in a Power of We Pie Eating Contest! It was truly a messy sight to see, but we are so proud to announce that we raised a total of $1,000 in donations. And of course, we couldn’t forget the highly anticipated return of the maintenance competition with a #Legendary twist: Maintenance Madness! We gave our service team members the chance to compete for cash prizes in three games that tested their skills and race against time. Huge thank you to our sponsors Grace Hill, American Pest, and Toepfer Construction Co., Inc., who made this event possible! We love being able to provide our team members with a day of fun and practice our core value of Balance Work and Play!
