ICYMI: National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released final drafts for three of its post-quantum secure algorithms. We ease the adoption of these standards by taking a cryptoagile approach. Cryptographic agility allows for increased resiliency over existing approaches by allowing systems to dynamically adapt to evolving threats. Find out how we're ready to implement our #cryptoagility to mitigate critical systems for your most vital missions and harness the power of quantum technologies to create a safer future ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eG5pCVKG

In February 2024, Leidos was enlisted by the U.S. Army Geospatial Center (AGC) to support the Pacific Ocean Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers in collecting images of multiple areas of interest across 3,500 miles in the South Pacific. The company’s high-resolution, three-dimensional, geospatial information (HR3DGI) team, also known as BuckEye, began its island-hopping mission on February 24. The team’s topographic LiDAR (light detection and ranging) and Elector Optical (EO) imaging technologies provide precise information about the Earth’s surface and its natural or man-made characteristics. The South Pacific island chains are often difficult to capture via satellite due to dense cloud coverage; BuckEye’s technology is able to gather up-to-date imagery of these locations while also providing crisper, high-resolution photos. BuckEye focused on gathering high resolution LiDAR bathymetric data. The hydrographic models they captured help with force protection, logistics and force mobilization, studying changing coastline features or riverbed and give insight into the impacts of climate change, such as rising sea levels, erosion and land sinking. Buckeye ended its island-hopping having collected 37 separate areas of interest for AGC, which totaled 1,600 square kilometers of high-resolution images and LiDAR data. The U.S. Army Geospatial Center is a major subordinate center under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. AGC collects, analyzes, manages, and delivers geospatial data and products, provides acquisition support, and develops innovative solutions to solve the toughest geospatial challenges. AGC leads the development and integration of the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE); lends Geospatial Intelligence expertise to develop and field tools for location data gathering; and provides geospatial products, data, and training for an array of military operations.
