Are you wondering where mass timber construction is headed? For the past two years, LeMessurier and our Wood Innovation Grant partners—SCB Architects, Turner Construction Company, and Olifant, LLC —have been at the forefront of exploring its transformative potential for multifamily projects, which have applications across all building types. The study, funded by USDA Forest Service, connects supply, demand, and implementation by studying forestry supply, the AEC industry, and local incentives. For the first time, the results will be shared during a free, three-part webinar hosted by Architecture 2030. LeMessurier will present on “Mass Timber Multifamily: Carbon, Cost, and Constructability” during Session 2 on Wednesday, October 30. Learn more and register today: https://loom.ly/EJS6uQM

LeMessurier’s work on the US Forrest Service's Wood Innovation Grant with our partners is going national with a free, three-part webinar series hosted by Architecture 2030. These last two years have been fascinating exploring the macro-economic study of connecting supply and demand in the mass timber world. We hope you can join us – check out the session details below and register today! #MassTimber
Mass Timber Construction: An Economic Study of Supply, Best Use, and Implementation in three North American regions This series unveils a macroeconomic study of building with mass timber in three U.S. regions; the Upper Midwest, Rocky Mountain Colorado, and the Southeast. Three companies - SCB, LeMessurier, and Turner Construction Company - collaborated for two years under a USDA Forest Service Wood Innovation Grant (https://lnkd.in/guP6Y-Fg) to redesign buildings in Minneapolis, Denver, and Atlanta; revealing cost differences, schedule savings, global warming potential savings, and design considerations. Studies were complemented by comprehensive mapping of the mass timber supply chain, with a focus on potential impact on forests in the United States. The grant is sponsored by Olifant, a company whose work helped launch Mass Timber Accelerator Grant programs. Studies were conducted in consultation with many regional partners, including members of AIA Minnesota, AIA Colorado, and AIA Georgia. Architecture 2030 is pleased to host this webinar series to share the findings of the study. Learn more about each session at the registration links below.
