Today on Wiser Than Me, Julia sits down with legendary legal affairs correspondent Nina Totenberg. Nina is one of the founding mothers of NPR and has been covering the Supreme Court for over 50 years, longer than any justice has sat on the bench. Julia asks Nina about her friendship with the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, balancing relationships across political lines, and the emotional toll of long-term caretaking. Plus, Judith, Julia's 90-year-old mother, tells a story about how attitudes towards women’s ambition have changed in her lifetime. Listen to Wiser Than Me here:https://lnkd.in/dgNfrf9t

Check out My So-Called Midlife today! Listen now: https://lnkd.in/eiApkggf
Well this week's episode of My So-Called Midlife is a really special one for me. I got to sit down with my friend, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. For those who don't know Justice Jackson, she's not only brilliant, she's also SO kind. We met on a board. I was really nervous for the first board meeting, and Ketanji saved me a seat as if she had been waiting for me. I'll never forget it! I'm so grateful she was down to join me on this journey into our so called midlife. We talked all about achieving your dreams in midlife, why it’s OK to sometimes say no, and how to balance being a mom, wife, and individual at the same time (spoiler alert: it’s HARD — but she has some serious knowledge to drop for all of us). I'm so, so excited about our conversation, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you like what you hear, leave a review and tell a friend 😉 ————> https://lnkd.in/ecCHak2q And be sure to check out “Lovely One," Justice Jackson’s memoir about her extraordinary life. Get a box of tissues while you’re at it! #MySoCalledMidlife #KetanjiBrownJackson #KBJ #SupremeCourt #SCOTUS #Podcast #Midlife #MiddleAge

Nate Silver is a risk-taker. He boldly and publicly forecasted elections through his website FiveThirtyEight. However, in 2016, he failed to fully anticipate Trump's potential to win the election, and that realization shook him. Nate shares valuable life lessons about working hard, asking the right questions, and embracing failure as a source of information.
