“AI is a buzzword today; it wasn’t back in 2015 when we established the company. And we’ve been doing everything in a very data-centric and automated way—that means policies sold entirely online in 90 seconds, costing a fraction or what it would otherwise cost due to automation. The same is true when you handle claims, paying about 50% of our claims in as little as seconds. You get a better user experience, but the deeper advantage is we’re taking costs out of the system, which is a huge advantage to consumers.” Insurance is complex and impacted by a lot of factors, many of which are out of our control. In July, we donated over $2M to nonprofits around the world via the #2024LemonadeGiveback, totaling more than $10M since we kicked off the program! And to celebrate our impact, our Makers rolled up their sleeves and gave back to their local communities. Together, and with some of our Giveback partners, we: 🧡 Built hygiene kits and mentored kids with Women In Need, Inc. (Win) 🐱 Spruced up shelters and spent time with the animals at Best Friends Animal Society 💜 Delivered meals and connected with older adults with DOROT 🍽️ Cooked and prepared lunch for shelter residents at Koffiehuis in Amsterdam 🐶 Cleaned cages, fed, and played with the animals at SPCA International (shoutout to Max, who found his forever home with a Lemonade Maker!) 🍋 Connected those in need with food pantries and soup kitchens in their neighborhood, thanks to our remote team and Lemontree
