This was an exciting article to write, and I had a blast putting it together! Exploring the mindset of an attacker is not just fascinating, it’s essential for truly understanding cybersecurity. As an ethical hacker, I have the unique advantage of seeing security from both sides. I don’t just read about vulnerabilities, I actively test, break, and analyze systems in a controlled environment. Les had just quit his job selling office machines for another company and decided it was time to follow his dream of starting his own business. But there was one problem—he didn’t have the funds for the crucial business trip that could make or break everything. In a family meeting, Les and Reva looked to their children, asking if they would invest in his vision. They pooled together every penny they had—just $63. But, when added to Les and Reva's savings, it was just enough to make the trip to Chicago. Once there, Les met with the officials of an office supply company. He poured his heart into the pitch, and when the meeting ended, they were impressed. They wanted him to be their exclusive dealer in Utah. That was the moment everything changed.
