Arguably the highlight of our year, the annual Baukunst conference brings together thought leaders and those shaping our collective futures. This year, we gathered once again at the iconic Hotel Chelsea in New York, bringing together 100+ collective members, founders, and investors to reflect on our progress and set the stage for what’s next. Some of the highlights from 2024 revealed at this year’s conference include: 🔷 $29M invested as of September 2024 🔷 19 companies now in the Baukunst portfolio 🔷 2 new companies launched by collective members 🔷 2 Study Groups completed and published, exploring the future of mushrooms and AI’s role in CAD 🔷 A new home for the collective in Bernal Heights, San Francisco 🔷 And many exciting developments for 2025 still under wraps—stay tuned The morning kicked off with presentations from founders, who shared their experiences with launch, refining their brands, and the lessons learned over the past year of building. In the afternoon, collective members delivered dynamic five-minute talks on topics of their choice—from how card counting relates to business strategy to provocations around how utilizing AI could help you become a better manager and human. We're excited to share some of these valuable insights with our broader community soon. Over the course of two days, new connections were made, ideas were exchanged, and our collective’s growth was celebrated. These conferences are a special time for us, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to reflect and strategize for the future. Thank you to all who attended—the energy at this event is always palpable, and fuels the momentum of what we're building together. We’re looking forward to seeing the progress we’ll make over the next year, and reflecting on it all when we reconvene in 2025.

"With 20% of the global population impacted by fertility struggles, almost all investment and attention in this space has gone towards expanding access to treatment... how do we create a more empowered, supported and empathetic fertility care experience?" - Jake Kent Read how Dandi Fertility, inspired through hard won learnings, is reshaping the IVF support space.

"The reality is we are going to have millions and millions of women with no choice but to turn to these sorts of reproductive technologies if they want to bring a child into the world. Who is going to support all of these women along such vulnerable and life-altering journeys?" Honored to share that Dandi Fertility was just featured in an important Forbes story that examines the ways in which the fertility patient experience has lacked any true innovation in 50 years since IVF's inception. With 20% of the global population impacted by fertility struggles, almost all investment and attention in this space has gone towards expanding access to treatment (i.e. clinics, insurance, etc). But there's an important, deeply human question that has been largely overlooked: with an exploding population of fertility patients who have so much at stake, how do we create a more empowered, supported and empathetic fertility care experience? Three years ago, we set out to answer that question. So proud to have built a brand that is improving such a deeply vulnerable human experience. Thanks to Josipa Majic Predin for shining a light on this important topic. And huge show of gratitude to our investors who deeply cared about bringing good into the world, our advisors who supported us every step of the day, the team who brought this vision to life, and to the mightiest and kindest partner and co-founder Leyla Bilali, BSN, RN! Sleep is a learned behavior. If we can understand why we cannot sleep, we can find solutions to fix it. At worst existing sleep devices and apps tell us only that we have not slept well… which we already know. At best they illustrate our tough sleep patterns, asking us to research, find and experiment with avenues to rectify it. Percy delivers measured environmental impacts to sleep, helping us build a picture of root causes and develop educated, actionable steps to relief. Watch this space–Conner is a force of nature, and this is just the beginning.

Behold the sleek, beautiful MVP of Percy - our revolutionary sleep technology that's about to change the game! 💙 If you’ve ever been curious about what happens when women in tech innovate, watch this video and catch a sneak peak of Percy coming to life. We are laughing and having SO MUCH FUN. This is proof that when women collaborate, magic happens. 🌟 Other than this undeniably stunning form factor, what I love most about this video is that it undermines every idea I previously held about what the culture of a tech company might be like. It shows that technology can be beautiful, whimsical, emotional, and that it is also art—not just nerf guns, and Patagonia vests. None of our progress would have been possible without my incredible partners at level, one of the few female-founded industrial design companies in the field. Led by fellow moms CEO Nichole Rouillac and COO Vicci Baigrie, Level has been racking up awards for their exceptional designs. When I met them in 2021, they immediately understood Percy 's value and quickly became my first professional partners. They helped build our graphic vision, introduced me to key partners, and steadfastly continue to cheer me on as I navigate the challenges of becoming a "woman in hardware." Sending them the retainer to start building Percy after our initial financing was one of the PRODUEST moments of my life. Their unwavering support is a reminder of the importance women play in lifting up other women to join and SUCCEED in the ecosystem. 💙 To all the women hesitating to innovate: this is your sign to dive in! The tech world needs your unique perspective. Together, we can create more ✨ magic ✨ and transform lives. 💙 Stay tuned for more updates as we bring Percy to life over the next few months. 💙 In the meantime, I have a CHALLENGE for you... Please share this video with a female who's unsure if there's a place for her in the tech world. Show her that not only is there room, but we need her. Extra points if you also read Cindy Gallop’s article '3 Reasons The Future Of AI Relies On Women' - 'Women build use cases the world embraces': https://lnkd.in/gF9JGCUX. Let's expand our community of innovators and prove that when women enter tech, we don't just fit in – 💙 we revolutionize the entire landscape. 💙 #WomenInTech #WomenInHardware #SleepTechnology #Wellness #FemaleFounders #Innovation #Autism #SleepRevolution #CommunityOverCompetition #StartUp #WomenInTech

Nex Playground is on a roll… Thanks for the Honorable Mention Fast Company Innovation by Design Award. Living in the home and on existing TV Stands, keeping Nex Playground compact was a focus and significant technical challenge. Housing powerful gaming technology meant heat mitigation was a significant requirement. Numerous iterations around perforation scale and layout led to two-sided venting to optimize airflow. This clean, minimal perforation that became a strong element of the geometric design language. #fcdesignawards #nexplayground #leveldesignsf #industrialdesign #design #designaward
