Congratulations to Bright Star Schools on their New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) closing for the construction of a new Valor Academy Elementary School campus. Bright Star is a network of 9 tuition-free charter public schools in Los Angeles, providing a high-quality education to over 3,600 students. In total, Bright Star received $25 million in NMTC allocation to enable the construction of an affordable, first-class 35,000-square-foot new facility for Valor Elementary.  The project will create 540 permanent seats for grades TK-4th, and the campus will include 28 classrooms, a multi-purpose building with servery, and will preserve an existing, historically designated house that will be incorporated as administrative and support space. Level Field Partners is proud to support Bright Star on the project, advising from site identification through this NMTC closing. Congratulations to Becoming Collegiate Academy (BCA) on the completion of its 6,500 square foot facility expansion project in North Jacksonville, FL. BCA's Founding Executive Director, Cameron Frazier, has steadily grown BCA's enrollment in a temporary facility and additional space was needed in order to accommodate the school's first ever 3rd graders. Fortunately for BCA, anthony nesmith ("Tony") and his team at Nesmith Construction LLC, a locally-based construction company, stepped in with design support from Will LaValley, RA, LEED AP and worked tirelessly to ensure that BCA's expansion was ready to welcome new students on the first day of school. Level Field Partners is grateful to have played a role on this project, and we look forward to our continued partnership with BCA as plans ramp up to move the school into a permanent home for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are excited to announce that Aventura Community School has successfully secured financing from Facilities Investment Fund (Civic Builders), BlueHub Capital, and Charter School Growth Fund that will enable the acquisition and adaptive reuse of a commercial building in Nashville, TN. The ~90,000 square foot space will be repurposed into a permanent school campus that will ultimately serve more than 850 students grades K-8. The project is set to be completed in summer 2025, and will include the addition of a 7,000 square foot storm shelter that will also provide a multipurpose play space for students. Congratulations to Aventura Community School and its Founder and Executive Director Natalie Morosi on this incredible milestone. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Aventura's new campus will have on its school community. Congratulations to Great Oaks Legacy Charter School on the closing of its $1.5MM loan from Level Field Facilities Fund for the expansion and renovation of its high school campus located in Newark, NJ's Central Ward.   The Level Field loan will help enable both the acquisition of a 4,500 square foot administrative and classroom building, and the Summer 2024 renovation of an existing 27,000 square foot educational building. This project phase will deliver high quality space for 50 additional Great Oaks high school students.   Great Oaks will simultaneously work to complete a larger 19,000 square foot project phase scheduled for Spring 2026 completion. This second phase of work will involve a new cafeteria building and classrooms that will allow Great Oaks to further increase its high school capacity by 250 students.    Level Field Facilities Fund is excited to play a role as a Great Oaks financing partner and collaborate on a creative financing solution for this critical, multi-phase project.
