I've worked with many founders before. What I learnt is that everyone has ideas, but only some ideas have great people. Abtin Buergari is one of those rare serial founders who is product obsessed and completely lacks the ego that a 3x exiting entrepreneur usually carries. I don't know if I am supposed to say this publicly as a VC, but writing checks is boring. The fun begins when you are actually in the arena, strategizing, hacking, building and even helping put out the fires (read Hard thing about hard things by Ben Horowitz). Having already seen the growth in both revenue and product since we met a couple of months ago, I have no doubt that I can look forward to celebrating many wins with Abtin and his incredible team.
