About us

We love pools, and we are totally in love with our children. We founded lifebuoy in 2015 in order to make pools safer. We strive to combine latest technology with advanced design and engineering along with innovative ideas in order to bring the best products to the pool. Bringing Intelligence to Pool Safety - Our Story: Lifebuoy was conceived when two experienced engineers, who happened to be married to each other, received a pool as a gift. The parents of three young children were delighted but also concerned. They were aware of the dangers of water accidents and wanted to be sure that their children would be safe. They researched the existing solutions but, not finding one that met all their stringent criteria, they set to work. Within a month the first pool safety device prototype was ready and Lifebuoy was incorporated. The company’s first commercial product received numerous accolades from reviewers and consumers. Following four years of sales and interactions with consumers, Lifebuoy reengineered its pool safety platform.

Fact: Most drownings in kids 4 and under happen in home swimming pools. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) studied drownings among children age 4 and under in Arizona, California, and Florida, where pools are especially common. It found that nearly 70% of the children were not expected to be at or in the pool, yet they were found in the water. In fact, 46% of the children were last seen in the house. Drowning is silent. Alarms break that silence. Pool alarms. Children can drown within seconds, with barely a splash. Swimming pool alarms can detect waves on the water's surface and sound off to attract attention when someone has fallen into the pool. In Italy, approximately 350 individuals lose their lives to drowning each year, with 30-40 of these tragedies occurring in swimming pools, primarily involving children. These numbers are not just statistics—they underscore the urgent need for preventive measures. According to a recent report by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, nearly 50% of drowning incidents among children aged 0-19 occur in swimming pools, especially in private residences. The primary contributing factors include lack of supervision, inadequate safety barriers, and the absence of pool alarms. 🔹 Preventive Actions: Install Barriers & Alarms: Ensure your pool is equipped with secure fencing and alarms to prevent unsupervised access. Remove Access Points: When the pool is not in use, remove ladders or other means of entry to enhance safety. Supervise Constantly: Adult supervision is paramount. Even with safety measures in place, active monitoring is essential to prevent accidents. 🔹 The Role of Education Beyond physical safety measures, education plays a crucial role in preventing drowning. Promoting water safety awareness and swimming lessons, particularly in high-risk communities, is vital to reducing these incidents. Pool safety is not just about compliance—it’s about protecting lives. By implementing these measures, we can significantly reduce the risk of drowning and ensure that our pools remain safe. Let’s work together to prevent these avoidable tragedies. #Lifebuoypoolalarm #PoolSafety #DrowningPrevention #ChildSafety #Italy #WaterSafety #HealthAndSafety #SummerSafety #PoolAlarm

Drowning is the second-most common cause of accidental death, and it's crucial to know that a person in distress may not look like they are drowning. Here are key signs to watch for to help prevent a tragedy: 🌊 Inability to Call for Help: A drowning person cannot breathe and speak simultaneously. Their mouth goes below the surface, and there's no time to exhale, inhale, and shout for help. 🤲 Arms Extended: A drowning individual instinctively extends their arms to the sides, pressing down to keep their mouth above water. They cannot wave for help or swim towards safety. 🆘 Upright Position: They may be vertical in the water, showing no signs of kicking or moving. A person can struggle for only 20 to 60 seconds before going under. 👀 Hair Over Face: The person’s face may be obscured by hair, making it difficult to see their distress. 💧 Head Position: Look for a head that is low in the water, with the mouth at water level. A child's head may fall forward in a dangerous position. 🤫 Silence: While children often make noise in the water, if they suddenly go quiet, it's time to investigate. 😶 Lack of Distress: Sometimes, the most alarming indicator is that a person doesn’t appear to be in distress. They may simply seem to be gazing at the sky or the pool deck. If you ask, “Are you all right?” and they give a blank stare, you may have less than 30 seconds to help. Being vigilant and aware of these signs can save lives. Let’s spread the word and ensure everyone knows how to recognize drowning. #poolalarm #lifebuoypoolalarms #swimmingpool #poolsafetyawareness #pool #swimmingpool #poolcleaner #watertechnology #watersafety #DrowningPrevention #LifeguardTraining #SafetyFirst https://lnkd.in/djAtveMh
