About us

A privately owned in-patient and home hospice company providing individualized care for life limiting illnesses. We designed our facility for the hospice patient, their families, and the hospice provider. Family members and other loved ones can spend the night in our large (over 400 sf) private rooms. Each room accesses its own private patio, on which the bed if needed, can be wheeled out so the patient can enjoy the sun on their face or the wind in their hair if desired. Each room is set up like a studio apartment with their own private bath, and a kitchen area with table and chairs. Also, the beds can be lowered into a “chair” position so if someone can’t get out of bed they can still feel as though they are part of the group and not the subject of the group. Located directly across the street from IU West Hospital provides convenient and easy access from Indianapolis and all surrounding areas.

  • It was a beautiful service of remembrance last night. Thank you to all of those who attended and for those watching online. We feel very blessed to be able to do what we do, caring for all of you. Grief and loss can feel overwhelming, leaving us in a state of deep sorrow and uncertainty about the future. Moving forward after a loss doesn’t mean forgetting the person or experience, but rather finding a way to integrate that loss into your life in a meaningful way. The process of healing is gradual, often marked by moments of sadness and reflection, but also by opportunities for growth, new connections, and a renewed sense of purpose. By acknowledging your grief and allowing yourself to feel the pain, you create space for recovery and resilience. Moving forward is about honoring your emotions while embracing the possibility of hope and joy in the days to come. Our prayer is that each family member, friend, coworker or significant other can start to heal in a healthy, productive way. Each persons grief experience is as individual as the end of life journey itself. If you or a loved one need help navigating grief of any type, please feel free to reach out to our incredibly talented and caring bereavement team! Rick Adkins is our bereavement counselor and he can provide resources and support to those in need, call 317-561-6840, extension 1026. #lifesjourneyhospice #griefsupport #bereavement #indianahospice

  • Spiritual Care Week, observed from October 20th through 26th, 2024, highlights the vital role of chaplains in hospice care. In hospice settings, chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families, regardless of religious affiliation. As patients face the complexities of end-of-life care, chaplains offer a compassionate presence, helping them find peace, meaning, and comfort. This holistic approach to care is essential, addressing not only physical needs but also emotional and spiritual well-being. Through active listening, guidance, and prayers, chaplains help families navigate grief and loss, offering solace in one of life’s most challenging times. Happy Spiritual Care Week to our amazing spiritual care team! Rick, Thomas, Jamil, and Dave, we are grateful for not only what you do to support, comfort, heal, and love our patients and families, but for what you do for your fellow team members--as we often need spiritual care and support! God Bless you all-- for your work touches so many and it is so important in the face of the end of one's journey. #lifesjourneyhospice #hospice #indianahospice #hospicecare #hospicechaplain #Indiana #indianapolis

  • Our team attended and supported the annual Putnam County Hospital "Think Pink" event alongside our amazing partners at Mill Pond Health Campus ! We are so proud to be a part of this initiative spreading the importance of awareness and prevention! Every year in October, the world comes together to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and at the heart of this initiative is the Think Pink campaign. Known for its iconic pink ribbons, events, and activities, the Think Pink campaign raises awareness about breast cancer, funds research, and supports those affected by the disease. For many, it’s more than just a public health event; it’s a lifeline of hope, solidarity, and community. The Purpose of Think Pink The Think Pink campaign serves multiple roles. First, it aims to educate the public about breast cancer, its early signs, and the importance of regular screenings. One of the key messages is early detection, which dramatically increases survival rates. By encouraging regular mammograms, self-examinations, and awareness, Think Pink has helped thousands of women and men catch the disease in its early, more treatable stages. Second, Think Pink works to raise funds for breast cancer research and patient support. Many of the events, such as charity walks, auctions, and galas, directly support research institutions that are developing better treatments, diagnostic tools, and—one day, hopefully—a cure for breast cancer. These funds also provide practical support for patients, helping with things like transportation to treatments, home care, and financial assistance for those undergoing therapy. Impact on Those Battling Breast Cancer For people currently battling breast cancer, the Think Pink campaign is a powerful source of emotional and psychological support. The disease is not only physically taxing but can also bring isolation, fear, and mental strain. The wide-reaching campaign reminds patients that they are not alone, and it unites communities to stand with them in their fight. Support Groups and Resources: One of the lasting impacts of Think Pink is the rise in support groups and online resources available to patients. These platforms allow women to share their experiences, discuss treatment options, and lean on one another during tough times. Think Pink events often provide a space where survivors, patients, and their loved ones can come together and find comfort in a shared experience. Survivorship Celebrations: For many breast cancer survivors, the Think Pink events also serve as a celebration of their journey. Survivorship is a powerful theme within these campaigns, showing others that breast cancer is not the end, but often the beginning of a new chapter. Survivors are often featured at events, sharing stories of resilience that inspire those currently fighting the disease. #thinkpink #breastcancer #breastcancerawareness #lifesjourneyhospice

One day your momma won't call you anymore, One day you will wish she had lived more days to enjoy your time with her. One day she'll stop telling you to stop with your jokes. One day she'll stop giving you the advices she thinks is right for you. One day you will find the house where she was always waiting for you with a cup of hot coffee or glass of wine upon arrival, empty. One day her voice will no longer be heard. One day, only memories will remain. Time flies and waits for Nothing and nobody. And on that day, you will feel a void so great that nothing and no one can fill. Love on your mom every chance you get !
