    Talking about investment returns takes conversations with clients only so far. Layer on tax management, and the agenda blows wide open.   “I really do care about our long-term capital market assumptions, but when I put that forward to a lot of clients, you can see their face glaze over,” Ted Dimig, global head of wealth management advisory solutions at J.P.     One of the biggest issues facing our industry today is that of meaningful integration.   Jeff Benfield of SEI and LifeYield’s Martin Cowley are two of the individuals tasked with tackling it. According to them, the future of the advisory tech stack lies in a UMH oriented approach – managing multiple accounts in a risk smart, tax smart manner.   Jeff and Martin also discuss the importance of building a tech stack from the bottom-up so you can add layers to the technology without fragmenting the workflow for the user.     “Think forward.”   After 20+ years at the Money Management Institute, the industry authority on education and thought leadership, Arlen Oransky knows a thing or two about the evolution of the managed money space.   When Arlen started at MMI, it was made up of a handful of firms that wanted to spread the word about the “next big thing” in wealth management – separately managed accounts.
