Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in our community. Like most in our community, we were hit hard during Hurricane Helene, but our team immediately went to work to ensure we stayed open during this difficult time. We do ask for your patience as we struggle with storm-related issues. We are currently accepting patients for adult and adolescent acute stabilization and our male and female adolescent residential programs remain open. Thank you for being so patient, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

This past Saturday, we had the opportunity to partner with Augusta Partnership for Children for their Circus Carnival. It was a fun-filled day with over 40 vendors, food trucks, games, face paintings and so much more. We were honored to have a table at this year’s event. Our Community Liaison, Tina, handed out educational material on child and adolescent mental health and information on our Acute Stabilization Unit and Partial Hospitalization, along with candy and bubbles. #AugustaPartnershipforChildren, thank you for all you do for the kids in our community!!

Last Wednesday, our Business Development team had the pleasure of being a sponsor for our local Resourced Augusta Conference. This no-cost annual event provides an amazing opportunity for over 500 attendees by educating individuals on what resources we have within the city and how we can all help guide those in need to resources. Thursday night, we had the pleasure of being a sponsor for the Augusta Coalition for Addiction Recovery Awareness Dinner (ACARA). We met so many organizations and talked about our adult and adolescent programs. Thank you to the ACARA Organization for having us be a part of such an impactful event. We are proud to serve on the Richmond County Suicide Prevention Coalition team! To kick off #SuicidePreventionAwarenessMonth, we attended the last game of the season for the Augusta GreenJackets Professional Baseball Team, which highlighted suicide prevention. As a group, we handed out over 750 bags with local, state, and national information and resources on suicide prevention, as well as information on our Acute Stabilization Programs for ages 5-64 and our Partial Hospitalization program for ages 12-17. Last Friday, our Business Development team, Tina; Tad; and Key, had the pleasure of attending Aviation Night with the Augusta GreenJackets Professional Baseball. It was a great opportunity for Lighthouse to join the community and provide education on mental health and how we are here when help is needed.
