The #compensation space is a tricky one. Many employers have needs beyond simple merit budgeting and management (though that's one of the most important pieces of the puzzle!) such as market pricing, #payequity analysis, and more. Every two years our team does the industry's biggest look at how employers use compensation technology and data to make their decisions. For instance, employers are using more data than ever before to justify their compensation decisions, and they are going beyond the historical salary surveys to include peer benchmarking, job market insights, anonymous employee-reported data, and other sources. This report also includes insights and profiles on companies like Salary.com, Syndio, Payscale, Unity Willis Towers Watson, Trusaic, OpenComp, Pave, CompTool, and others. Everyone's talking #generativeAI, especially when it comes to #hrtechnology. But who's doing what? In our research at Lighthouse Research & Advisory, we cover not just the big trends in the industry (like our data showing that use of recruiting AI tools has risen significantly since 2021) but also the systems employers use to support their candidates & workforce. On the technology side, we see some more granular insights on generative AI tools in the market. Let's run through the different areas to explain. JOB DESCRIPTIONS Phenom, SeekOut, Beamery, Hireology, & Sense are some examples of GenAI on the job description front. They can help create a job description or job ad on the fly. This is relatively low risk for employers, & it gives the providers a quick way to add genAI that is client-facing. CANDIDATE SOURCING Next is external candidate sourcing. For example, Findem uses natural language queries to search for answers to questions like "Where do our former salespeople work now?" or "Show me US-based CFOs who took a company from $1M to $5M in revenue." The two providers we follow here are Findem & SeekOut. CANDIDATE MATCHING Most companies have an internal database of candidates but not always a good way to find talent within them. Sense, Beamery, & Phenom all have capability around this using GenAI. For instance Phenom can show you the top 50 candidates for a role & use AI to identify exactly why they are ranked in the top (worked for a competitor, interview content, responsiveness, etc.) SCREENING and FRAUD DETECTION It's time to start vetting which candidates are the right ones from a quality perspective. We see some interesting things happening here with providers like Sapia.ai, Glider AI, Xobin, & others. Sapia, for instance, allows candidates to apply for a job via a text interview. Xobin & Glider have features that identify when candidates may be cheating using content from ChatGPT. CONTENT AND OUTREACH Creating outreach is a low-risk option to weave in GenAI. We see providers like Cliquify, hireEZ, Loxo, GR8 People, & even LinkedIn providing value here. One of the most creative was SeekOut on this, because they can let you adjust outreach tone to org culture with a few clicks. The last category of Analytics, Insights, & Nudges is more about providing ideas for process improvement, inputs for actions to take, etc. It's evolving, but this is what I envision when I hear the term "copilot" because I would have loved an expert sitting at my shoulder through the full cycle of recruiting to help support decisions & say, "Don't forget to xyz..."
