Making Connecticut Safe for Migrating Birds

About us

Lights Out Connecticut is building a coalition of property owners, local businesses, nonprofits, and local officials to protect migratory birds in our state. We work together to ensure that all nonessential lights are turned off or dimmed at night during the weeks of spring and fall migration (Apr 1–May 31 and Aug 15–Nov 15). Participation is completely voluntary, self-monitored, and self-assessed.
