About us

A team of Certified Mental Performance Consultants (CMPC®) operating at the intersection of psychological performance and well-being. Our Mission ⇣ Limitless potential for achievement exists within all of us, and so does a natural tendency toward pursuing that potential. With a combination of our life experience, education, training, and performance backgrounds, our goal is to help expand the client’s idea of what is possible, looking to the values and strengths of those we work with as a roadmap to determine the way. Along this road, we equip our performers with tools to increase proficiency in a variety of cognitive processes and self-regulation skills, effectively building out a “mental toolbox” that is unique to them. The ultimate goal is to enable each of our clients to be consistent and successful when working with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; in any context. Our Philosophy ⇣ We are dedicated to providing high-quality services (criteria: professional, detailed, transferable, culturally-responsive, contextually relevant, & evidence-based) and have an emphasis on purpose-driven work. • How often do you reflect on your experiences—good or bad? ✍️ This week, we're sharing powerful insights from Giada Di Stefano, a professor of strategy within the Department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University, whose research reveals the impact of reflective practice on high-performance sectors. Brought to us by Trevor Ragan and the Learner Lab, this short video explores how reflecting on both successes and setbacks can elevate learning and boost performance. 💡 "Giada Di Stefano’s research highlights how structured reflection transforms experiences into deeper insights, enhancing decision-making and innovation within organizations. Reflection isn’t just reminiscing; it’s actively uncovering what worked, what didn’t, and why.” 🔬 Di Stefano states, “Through systematic reflection, people can learn from both successes and failures." 💭 As shown in the slides, reflection often follows poor outcomes, but the benefits apply no matter the result. Reflection opportunities are everywhere, beginning with a question: - How can you create time to reflect on your practice and the lessons you’re learning? Check out the video and the research at the 🔗's below: - https://lnkd.in/gBNqKw9X - https://lnkd.in/gWyFgdS Enjoy the week ahead! --------------------- #limitless #mental #performance #psychology #learnerlab #reflection #power

  • 🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎨 Have you heard of the term, "glimmer?" If you answered no, it's likely that you have, and that it was called something else. 📖 According to the Newport Institute, "Glimmers are small moments of joy or peace that arise from appreciating simple things like the colors of a rainbow, the scent of a flower, or the sound of the rain," (2023). Or today, maybe it's an immaculately carved pumpkin that makes you say, "that's the one." The contributors of this writing piece continued to describe this concept so perfectly- given such, I'll pass the mic: ☀️ "[Glimmers] are internal or external cues that elevate your mood or make you feel safe and happy." 👁 "Keeping your eyes and mind open to find glimmers also helps you to stay in the present moment rather than worrying about the future or fretting over the past... the practice of noticing and appreciating glimmers can cue your nervous system to relax and have a positive effect on your mental health." 🤓 "Glimmers are related to polyvagal theory... glimmers stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which produces sensations of calm and relaxation." ------------------------------ To increase the odds of experiencing glimmers, it is recommended that you: → Spend time in places that nourish you → Connect with people you enjoy → Limit screen time → Practice mindfulness ------------------------------ #Glimmers #Health #Mindfulness

  • 💼 This past week we were fortunate to travel to Las Vegas for the Association for Applied Sport Psychology 39th Annual Conference, and we can for sure say that we’re happy with what we gained from our experience. 🔬 The event featured many of the field’s top experts sharing their experience, research findings, original models, and so much more. The level of detail and tactfulness that goes into successful presentations is always inspiring- especially so in our AASP experiences. We’ll be using a ton of the models and applying the research findings, for sure; more on that down the road. 🧡 The best part though: being in the company of some of the best human beings we know. This was a great opportunity to connect with our valued colleagues, and we didn’t take a minute of that for granted. 🔗 Check out their website at appliedsportpsych.org - our job is pretty cool (we must say), and who knows, you may find some interesting stuff. ——————————— #applied #sport #performance #psychology #vegas #conference

  • Hello everyone! 💡 Tonight, we’re tuning into an insight-packed message from organizational psychologist and author, Adam Grant. ✨ Embracing nerves, leaning into challenges, finding confidence in the unknown… these are the keys to building a resilient mindset, and Adam captures it beautifully. ⚡️ As you step into the week ahead, remember: nerves don’t signal a lack of preparation. More often, they signal how much you care about an outcome that may be beyond your control. Confidence isn’t about ignoring what could go wrong; it’s about focusing on what might go right. Let’s go out there and make it happen! 💭Here are two questions to consider when nerves arise: - What are the potential costs of inaction? - What are the potential benefits of an attempt? ------------------------------- #limitless #performance #psychology #mindset #confidence #growth

  • 🗣️ Sharing stories and having honest conversations about both the good and the bad are key factors in our growth as individuals. This is the focus for this week's Media Monday. We’re highlighting the Invisible Game, a collaborative effort between UNINTERRUPTED, the award-winning athlete storytelling brand under The SpringHill Company (founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter), and The Jed Foundation (JED), a leading nonprofit focused on protecting emotional health and preventing suicide in teens and young adults. This initiative sparks real conversations about mental health, featuring raw, intergenerational dialogues with top athletes about life, mental wellness, and staying at the top of their game. The goal? To inspire positive change and provide valuable resources for those navigating similar challenges. The Invisible Game is not just a video series—it’s a movement for positive change. Along with these powerful conversations, they offer an extensive list of mental health resources, opportunities to volunteer time or to the cause, and practical advice on how to show up as your best self in life, both on and off the court. 🎯 Let’s keep the conversation going — check out the full video series here: https://lnkd.in/eXgH44sA, explore the resources, and share how you prioritize mental wellness in your life. As mental performance consultants, we believe that mental health and mental performance are interrelated, and should you or someone you know be seeking guidance on clinical resources, we are happy to be helpful.  ✌️Jake & Mike --------------------- #limitless #performance #psychology #uninterrupted #jedfoundation #invisiblegame

  • 🎙 Tina Basich (@tina_basich_haller) on episode 79 of @thebombhole is an episode to add to the list. 💎 Especially so given that it is currently #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, and equally because in this episode, Tina was open to sharing her journey and the elements that have contributed to her resilient and brave mindset. We recommend checking out @B4BC to learn about ways that we can all support and educate ourselves on this topic. 🔗🌲 Find the episode wherever you listen to podcasts, on thebombhole.com, & in our bio.  ------------------------------ #BreastCancer #Awareness #B4BC #TheBombHole

  • Happy Monday, everyone! 🥁 This week we’re excited to highlight Larnell Lewis, a Canadian drummer, composer, producer, educator, and highly revered musical talent. 🤧 We promise you, this video is worth the watch. It is insane. Whether you’re a drummer who froths on clean, detailed, and complex compositions, or if you’re literally anyone. This man exudes mastery within each hit of the drum, and the ~7 mins are well spent. ⚡️ It’s incredible to imagine how he memorizes so many different drum hits and lines, and all the while, he looks incredibly natural and effortless doing so. 🔗🌲 Check out this video below; you don’t want to miss this one! https://lnkd.in/gv2UhF4H ————————— #limitless #performance #psychology #drums #art #mastery

  • Happy Saturday! This week’s message comes from renowned writer and speaker, James Clear. James is widely known among performance psychology enthusiasts, and for good reason. He’s the author of the popular 3-2-1 weekly newsletter, frequently inspiring us, and the acclaimed book Atomic Habits, now with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. As James encourages, paying attention to the small changes you make in pursuit of your goals is essential. These seemingly minor wins accumulate over time, leading to powerful behavior reinforcement and long-term growth. At the end of the day, we are truly a product of our habits. And as the phrase goes, first, you make your habits, then your habits make you. - Are your routines moving you closer to your goals? - Do your actions align with your values? - Are your daily decisions helping you grow into someone you'd look up to? 🔗🌲 Discover more about how to build better habits and learn more about James Clear by following the link in our bio! ✌️Cheers, peers! ------------------------------------- #performancepsychology #sportpsychology #atomichabits #routine #smallwins #bigchanges #habitsmatter
