Join us in congratulating Sara Lincoln, Scott Addison, and Erin Alfaro on securing another defense verdict in Mecklenburg County on Tuesday, September 3rd!! 🏆 This case involved medical treatment for a heel pad degloving injury following a motorcycle accident. Plaintiff’s injury was so severe that he went on to have a below the knee amputation, which the defense contended was the natural progression for this type of injury. The jury deliberated for approximately 90 minutes before returning a unanimous verdict, asserting that the injury was not caused by the negligence of our doctor. Congratulations to this trial team on another well-deserved win!! #TrialWin #LDAdvantage #AlwaysSavvyNeverStuffy

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Kelly Vecchio. For 30 years, Kelly worked as a highly experienced paralegal with expertise in commercial and civil litigation, labor and employment, construction, and appellate matters. She was an integral part of our firm, contributing not only her exceptional legal skills but also a kindness and dedication that touched everyone who worked with her. Her work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond are qualities that will be deeply missed and impossible to replicate. Kelly was more than just a colleague. Outside of the office, she was a loving wife, a cherished member of her community, and a true friend to many. She had a deep love for gardening, traveling, and listening to live performances. She also loved her alma mater and frequently attended UNC Chapel Hill football games. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of so many, and those who knew her will miss her dearly. As we mourn her loss, we also cherish the many good times we shared with her. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kelly’s family, loved ones, and friends during this difficult time. Her legacy will continue to live on throughout our firm and her community. Rest in peace, Kelly. We will love and miss you forever. 🕊
