For the past 9 years, I've championed search innovation, even when it seemed out of reach. Now, we're witnessing the tangible outcomes of that persistence. AI has enabled significant breakthroughs in search experiences, and the data ecosystem we've built at Liner is now providing the foundation for world-class search experiences. Found a fantastic new research tool for writers: Liner Only wish I could have found it yesterday 😅 This AI tool is especially geared to look up facts on any topic you want. The difference between this and other tool is that - It breaks down your request into more specific tasks. And returns a comprehensive set of results. They're actually usable and come with references. So far, I've used Perplexity and Chat-GPT 4 to help with research and they do not compare with Liner. Especially when Liner gives you a ton of info for free (and without having to sign up). Seriously, this tool makes Google suck as a research platform. Found so much great resources and content I could have used just 12 hours ago that Google had me spend hours to find. Anyone else trying it out? [Liner에서 첫 번째 검색 엔지니어를 모셔요] Liner는 사용자에게 신뢰할 수 있는 출처에 기반해 신뢰할 수 있는 답변을 제공해오고 있습니다. 이를 위해 신뢰할 수 있는 출처를 활용할 수 있는 검색 시스템 (검색 엔진, 랭킹, 필터링, ...) 과 신뢰할 수 있는 답변을 생성할 수 있는 LLM 기술이 필요합니다. 이 중 랭킹, 필터링, LLM 관련해서는 이미 내부 기술의 구현이 진행되었거나 진행되고 있습니다. 검색 엔진도 마찬가지로 내부 구현이 시작되었으며, Liner 검색 엔진에 첫 단추를 함께 멋지게 꿰어 날개를 달아줄 엔지니어 분을 모시고 있습니다. Google 패러다임 하의 검색은 사용자 질의에 유관하다고 여겨질 수 있는 Top-k개 문서를 스니펫과 함께 노출시켜주는 방식으로 동작하였습니다. 하지만 Liner의 검색은 Top-k개 문서를 모두 철저히 이해하고 활용해, 정확한 결과를 생성해 제공해주는 방식으로 동작합니다. 사용자가 Top-k개 문서를 필요에 의하지 않으면 볼 필요가 없을 정도로 말이죠. 이를 위해서는 일반적인 Retrieval도 잘 수행해야 하지만, Retrieval 이후 반환된 문서들의 콘텐츠를 잘 활용하는 과정도 필수적입니다. 따라서 본문에 대한 파싱과 이해를 모두 해낼 수 있는 검색 시스템을 만들어야 합니다. 즉, 링크의 나열을 넘어 신뢰할 수 있는 답변의 생성을 이끌 수 있는 현대적인 검색 시스템의 설계가 필요합니다. 이러한 설계를 처음부터 웹 스케일까지 함께 발전시켜 나가고 싶습니다. 이미 Liner가 제공하는 신뢰할 수 있는 답변에 대한 시장 검증은 미국 시장에서 이루어졌으며, General-purpose 검색 엔진인 Google과 같은 모형이 아닌 Research-specific 검색 엔진에서부터 시작하는 모형의 구현과 제품 적용을 통해 성능, 비용, 서비스 제어권 측면에서 진일보 하고자 합니다.
