If you're new to AAC & PPA, this is for you! 💡 SLP Clinical Educator, Angela, is here to show you just how powerful high-tech AAC can be for your clients living with primary progressive aphasia. If you want to help your client with PPA preserve their voice and memories long-term, here’s what you can do: 1️⃣ Get an AAC device with the option to record and store personal voice recordings, photos, and videos (like the Lingraphica TouchTalk! 😉) 2️⃣ Teach your client and their loved ones how to create folders and message cards that can be personalized and used to retell stories, share inside jokes, and even say, “I love you” — all in their own voice Message banking makes an incredible difference in quality of life for people living with PPA — especially when introduced as early as possible. Have questions about AAC and PPA? Ask in the comments or head to the link here to book a demo with our clinical education SLPs: https://loom.ly/dXp0d2U

AAC users have the right to vote — just like everyone else! 🇺🇸 In the spirit of National Voter Registration Day, we’re sharing 3 things you should know about AAC and voting in federal elections: 🗳️ You are legally entitled to an accessible voting place. You can use your AAC device at the polling location. You can also request help with reading or completing your ballot from a poll worker or bring a friend or family member to help you in the voting booth. 🗳️ In most states, you can vote by mail with an absentee ballot. Visit your Secretary of State website or CanIVote.org to learn more. 🗳️ Make sure your AAC device includes the vocabulary you’ll need on Election Day! Feel free to copy the ideas we shared in this video. And if anyone tries to interfere with your voting, call the Election Protection Hotline immediately for assistance. 👉 If you found this information helpful, please share this video and save it for future reference! 👉 And if you’re an SLP, please share this with your fellow clinicians and your clients. Happy voting!

Introducing: deductible math. ✨ Here’s how it works: 💰 You (or your clients) probably have a yearly health insurance deductible, especially with Medicare or commercial insurance. (Quick refresher: the deductible is the amount you need to spend before your insurance plan starts paying its share of medical costs.) 📆 By now, most people have met their 2024 insurance deductible. 🙌 This means that if you (or your client) get an AAC device before the year ends, it could be fully covered by insurance — potentially saving you THOUSANDS of dollars. But here’s the thing… Most health plan deductibles reset on January 1. And you need time to trial an AAC device and determine if it’s a good fit. This means that *right now* is the perfect time to start a free AAC device trial (with no obligation to purchase a device!). ➡️ Start your AAC device trial today by visiting this link: https://loom.ly/X7VKKVA 🤝 We’ll be there every step of the way with clinical advice, customization support, and help navigating insurance and funding. Have questions about the trial process? Drop them in the comments or DM us!
