🌺 Happy Friday! 🌺 Today, I want to talk about something that’s always at the back of my mind, something that keeps me energized, focused, and determined every single day: Motivation 💪 We all understand the importance of staying motivated and driven towards our goals. It's what keeps us going, pushing boundaries, and achieving success. For me, motivation comes in two powerful forms that continually inspire me to reach new heights. First and foremost, my incredible family holds a special place in my heart. My two daughters are the driving force behind everything I do and are the reason I wake up every morning, determined to make a difference. But there's another aspect that truly ignites a fire within me. It's the interactions I have with clients and candidates, and everyone I share personal and business stories and insights with. Hearing your stories, aspirations, and challenges motivates me to work harder, to want to continuously improve, and to be of genuine help. Whether it's chatting with candidates, clients, or anyone else, engaging with you all is a true privilege. When I worked as one of the many recruiters at a recruiting agency, I got so wrapped up in hitting daily KPIs and targets, and I felt I was losing touch with the real reason I got into recruiting in the first place. Now that I have become independent, I'm genuinely grateful to have reconnected with that original passion and purpose because it truly lights a fire in me like nothing else. So it’s been almost 5 months since I started my own recruitment company, and I wanted to take a moment to share my incredible journey so far. As a mother of young children, I’ve always wanted a career that could provide me with the flexibility to manage my time and be available for my family, all while chasing my professional dreams. I had been thinking about starting my own recruiting business for years and I finally pulled the trigger in May 2023, and I am so glad that I did. One of the most fulfilling aspects of building my own recruiting company has been the opportunity to establish and uphold my own set of values. I firmly believe that a successful business is built on integrity, transparency, and a genuine commitment. With those values in mind, I have been able to build stronger connections and relationships with candidates and clients. This will not only result in long-term success but I honestly just enjoy having a good time connecting with them. Efficiency has always been a key factor in my journey being a full-time working mother. With limited time and resources, I have learned so much to streamline processes, leverage technology, and optimize every aspect of my business to maximize productivity. By staying organized, utilizing tools, and constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency, I have been able to be productive more than ever with less working hours. Last but definitely not least, this has given me the freedom to work from anywhere, and let me tell you, it's been absolutely great. I live in Hawaii now but I have family in Japan and on the East Coast, and now I am able to still work while visiting them. Starting a recruiting business from scratch has not been without its challenges, but the rewards have far outweighed the difficulties. The ability to create a fulfilling career on my own terms, while being there for my family, has been an incredible blessing.
