It's not every day that you get to make a connection with a person that is just as delightful in real life as she is on YouTube. We joined forces with the amazing Cherry Wallis to create a collection that is as magical as the social media influencer herself. We are so grateful for this partnership and to find another person who gets excited about witches and wizards and books just as much as we do! The Green Witch Collection is now one of our favorite creations. https://lnkd.in/gxyDe-PE 🍄 Toadstool Candle: Whimsically designed to resemble a fairytale mushroom, this candle adds a touch of cottagecore chic to any space. 📚 Book Vase: This charming book-shaped vase will look stunning with dried flowers or herbs, perfect for your bookshelf or as a witchy gift! 🌿 Propagation Station: A beautiful tool to help you embrace your inner green witch and cultivate a magical garden. 🌰 Acorn Necklace: Add a whimsical touch to any outfit while manifesting the future you’ve always dreamed of with our trinket acorn necklace! What will you keep inside? 🪴 Herbology Satchel: The ideal witchy bag for nature walks or gathering herbal supplies, or simply adding a little magic to your everyday shopping!
About us
LitJoy Crate is a simple, creative, and easy way to read more and more often! We work with authors and publishers to create collector’s edition books and licensed merchandise. At our core we seek to cultivate connection and joy through stories. The growth that we have experienced over the years we attribute to our focus on creating amazing products that people want to buy. LitJoy Crate was founded in 2016 by two women who love to read. It remains to this day a 100% female owned business. Our LitJoy employee family includes individuals from varied backgrounds who each thrive in our culture: an environment of creative thinking, communication, extreme ownership, and heart. Product and Community LitJoy believes in helping readers build their personal library with beautiful books. Our book offerings often come with new artwork, signatures from the author, and LitJoy-exclusive content. In addition to books, we work with authors to create licensed merchandise that readers adore. LitJoy has worked with over 50 authors to bring their books to life. Some of our most successful partnerships include: • Holly Black, author of The Cruel Prince • Cassandra Clare, author of The Mortal Instruments • Jay Kristoff, author of Nevernight • Sabaa Tahir, author of Ember in the Ashes • Laini Taylor, author of Strange the Dreamer • Victoria Aveyard, author of Red Queen Other product offerings include special edition classic books and a quarterly fiction book box subscription called To Bee Read for fantasy and sci-fi readers. We strive for products that are useful and beautiful. Ours is a community of readers. We embrace our collective enthusiasm for fictional worlds and characters! Readers can connect with us at #LitJoyCrate and @LitJoyCrate.

It's hard keeping all artwork and graphics in one place when you're creating special edition books and products that require high quality (and extremely large) files. We tried several cloud-based services, but when our company expanded, we had to expand our storage and get more organized. We now manage all our creative assets and processes in one place using Air (air.inc). Our team members upload assets into folders, add labels, and Air does the rest to make imagery and files easy to find for anyone in the company. Using this platform has made content management easy.

Such a great day for LitJoy! Thank you Utah Business!
July Founder Friday 📚 What a pleasure it was to hear from Alixandra Lewis Burrows and Kelly Dearth of LitJoy Crate this morning! We loved learning more about the beginnings of their direct-to-consumer e-commerce company and how they thrive as co-founders and co-CEOs. Couldn’t make it? Stay tuned for a recap in August.

We have been working on so many licensing deals the past several years, it made sense that we send two of our directors to Licensing Expo in Vegas. Debra Hawkins and Kara Hobson learned some valuable information, met great people (Paris Hilton!), discovered new brands, and planned some amazing things for the future of LitJoy.

We are so proud of our fearless leaders Kelly Dearth and Alixandra Lewis Burrows who shared how LitJoy began at Founder Friday with Utah Business. Thank you to Melanie Paris Jones and Mekenna Malan for making this happen!
If I didn’t have a massive girl crush on all of these women before…wow…I sure do now. Kelly Dearth and Alixandra Lewis Burrows turned an elevated book club and $1000 startup capital into a nearly-eight-figure book subscription box business — LitJoy Crate. We learned about how they prioritized the use of the funds in their early days (everything went to customer experience and branding). We learned what it means to be “deep bookish” where physical books become trophy collections after reading on a Kindle or Audible. We learned a LOT about humility, hustle and audacity. I’m in awe. Wish you were here. Shout out to Mekenna Malan who moderated a beautiful conversation. Look for a written summary of this discussion by Beth Taylor in the August issue of Utah Business.

We love it when a book comes together and we have to give it up this time to our awesome artists in this special edition of Marissa Meyer's Heartless. This tragic love story of Catherine and Jest explores the origins of Wonderland's iconic villain, the Queen of Hearts. The cover and slipcase art is by @BethGilbert_Art. The tip-in art pages are by @Gabriella.Bujdoso and @DianaDworak, and the endpaper art is by @Nicole.Deal.Art! We are so grateful to work with amazing artists.

How did we survive before Slack!?! We've used a few different platforms for company communication over the years, but when we started using Slack a few years back, how we worked together changed dramatically. One of our favorite things about Slack is creating channels not just for day-to-day work tasks to increase productivity, but also for company community. We have a channel on Slack that we call "Share the Joy." This channel is for employees to share and celebrate with one another things going on outside of work. We love how this has made LitJoy feel more like a family.
