Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of good will the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life.
We are immensely grateful to our sponsors, vendors, presenters, volunteers, and elders who helped make our First Elder Empowerment Expo an inspiring day of empowerment, knowledge-sharing, and community care.
The event featured impactful breakout sessions on Life Transition Planning, Digital Connections, Scam Protection, and Insurance Support, each helping to equip our elders with tools for success and peace of mind.
Thank you for making this day so memorable! We can’t wait to see everyone again soon—and at next year’s Expo!

LITTLE MOMENTS, LASTING CONNECTIONS
The Little Things Make a HUGE everlasting impact
At LBFE (Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly), we believe that the little acts of kindness make the biggest difference in the lives of our elders. Often, we think of kindness as grand gestures or monumental efforts, but in reality, it’s the small, everyday moments that truly enrich lives and create lasting connections.
Imagine the joy that comes from mowing a lawn for someone who can no longer do it themselves, or the warmth of painting nails and sharing stories during the process. These little actions go beyond the task itself—they create bonds of friendship and bring moments of joy into the lives of those who might otherwise feel forgotten.
Cooking a meal for a group gathering or an event, making a phone call just to check in, going fishing with an old friend, or pushing a wheelchair through a museum—these may seem like simple tasks, but they carry the weight of genuine care and connection. Sometimes, it's as easy as sitting together and creating art, offering valuable resources to someone in need, or simply listening and engaging in conversation. The common thread in all of these actions is friendship—the lifeline that sustains our elders, reminding them they are seen, heard, and loved.
Join us in showing that little things matter. Together, we can show our elders that they are seen, heard, and loved—through everlasting impact.

Volunteer Call to Action: Join Us for Juneteenth!
Can you help get our elders out of their homes and to The Freedom Center on Juneteenth? We're seeking volunteers for a daylong festival and jubilant takeover of Freedom Way, celebrating true independence.
Joy and community were the hallmarks of the earliest Juneteenth celebrations, bringing people together around music, food, and fellowship. The event will feature live music and performances on the Freedom Center plaza. As a volunteer, you'll pick up elders from their homes, experience the festival and museum together, and enjoy meaningful discussions during the ride home after a joyous day.
Join us in making this Juneteenth unforgettable for our elders. Your support will make a difference!
For more information and to volunteer, contact Michael Noyola at 513-542-7555 or cincinnati@littlebrothers.org.
Our ESP Coordinator Zaire and our Assistant Director Dawn enjoyed the gift of attending the YWCA Woman of Achievement Luncheon today! Inspired by the trailblazing women being honored and ready to bring that inspiration to our mission of combating isolation and loneliness in the elderly community. #YWCA#WomenTrailblazers#MissionInspiration#LBFE
