If you had been at the LivCor office on Sunday, you would've had a fantastic view of more than 52,000 humans who ran past Willis Tower in the Chicago Marathon—including our own Chloe Solon! 🏃🏻♀️👟💪 Chloe ran 26.2 miles to support Special Olympics and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in sports. Talk about Good Neighbor energy (energy, energy!). Congrats, Chloe!

Today is #NationalComingOutDay, and our LGBTQIA+ team resource group, Prism, is celebrating our CorValue of #BeYouBeRealBeOpen. ✨🌈 On this day, we celebrate the courage and authenticity of those in the LGBTQIA+ community who have taken the brave step of coming out. We understand that coming out is a deeply personal journey that can take time, and LivCor will continue to increase representation, support, and uplift one another to ensure everyone knows they have a safe space here to be their full, authentic self. 

Today, LivCorians are rolling up their sleeves to participate in CoreGiving's fourth annual #CoreGivingDay, supporting our communities and fighting childhood hunger. We're channeling our Good Neighbor energy to make an impact—teaming up with our fellow Blackstone real estate companies at local food banks around the country. #WorldMentalHealthDay is on Thursday, so we're checking in on LivCorians who use WHOOP to promote better sleep and stronger recovery. Around here, we're insights-driven. Seeing the data that quantifies how our actions impact our quality of sleep and recovery helps us to make smarter decisions about what we eat, what we drink, and how we move our bodies. WHOOP is a powerful tool for managing the aspects of our physical health that influence our mental wellbeing. LivCor is proud to offer every team member a WHOOP wristband and membership, so they can care for themselves and prioritize their mental health. That's something to WHOOP about!

Our 2024 RISE cohort has been getting their steps in—from New York to Atlanta, they've been visiting our communities, walking the grounds, and connecting with the site teams to gain a deeper understanding of our business at every level. During their travels, they also meet with leaders from LivCor and Blackstone to develop their leadership style, find practical solutions to real challenges on property, and (as is the LivCor way) have a little fun. LivCor’s RISE program is developing our team today to become leaders of the real estate industry tomorrow. We'll keep investing in our humans so they can keep creating great places to live, work, and grow. (Or in other words, so they can wake up every day ready to #RISEandShine.)

In celebration of #HispanicHeritageMonth, our newest team resource group, Vōz, invited LivCorians to a guided tasting of salsas inspired by cultures around the world. We might have come for the food, but we stayed for the incredible messaging shared by the Vōz leadership team: "For many Americans, when you think of salsa, you think about going to eat at Mexican restaurants. But you can also find salsas on so many menus across so many cuisines. Similarly, when Americans think about Hispanic and Latino communities, they often think about Mexico. But that's just one ingredient in our salsa. We live all over the world with widely varying cultures, and we come together to create a vibrant, colorful community." Thank you, Vōz, for keeping our bellies full and our hearts fuller. We'll have our bag of chips and our minds open and ready for the next event.

In recognition of #BisexualVisibilityDay, our LGBTQ+ team resource group, Prism, is celebrating some of the greatest openly bisexual icons of our culture who have leveraged their platforms to promote bisexual visibility. #BrendaHoward was known as the "Mother of Pride" for organizing the first LGBTQ+ Pride march and advocating for the rights of all marginalized communities. #DrFredKlein, known as "Fritz," was a psychiatrist and sex researcher who helped transform the LGBTQ+ movement by pioneering the scientific study of bisexuality. #FridaKahlo's fluid sexuality was reflected in her bold, unconventional life and art, often challenging societal norms while exploring identity and passion. #CharlesMcRayBlow is an American journalist whose works have discussed the journey of self-doubt that many people go through on the path to finding their sexuality, as well as the reality of confronting biphobia. We honor and thank these extraordinary humans for helping (alongside countless others) to create a world in which every person can Be You. Be Real. Be Open. 

A good neighbor is someone who helps others win—a great neighbor is one who does that ~and~ brings you homemade (very impressive) cookies on their first day. 🤩 Meet the newest member of our Strategic Initiatives team, Jennifer Berg, who is as good with icing as she is with vendor relations. To celebrate the #MidAutumnFestival yesterday, our API team resource group, ASPIRE, invited LivCorians to 🥮 share mooncakes, 🏮 decorate lanterns, 🧋 sip boba tea, and ❓ solve a few lantern riddles—ASPIRE's twist on a Mid-Autumn Festival tradition. We aren't sure what fills us with warm fuzzies more—the way ASPIRE continues to provide fun and educational experiences for LivCorians, or the cute little bunny shaped puddings at the event... we'll call it a tie. Thank you, ASPIRE!
