Thank you Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation!
Domestic violence often follows a cycle that’s incredibly hard to break. It involves periods of tension, abuse, and reconciliation, creating a pattern that keeps many women trapped. On average, it takes a survivor 7 attempts to leave an abusive relationship due to fear, financial dependence, or concerns for their children. Sadly, children who witness domestic violence are significantly more likely to become victims or abusers themselves. In fact, 30-60% of children in homes with domestic violence also experience abuse. This cycle of trauma can continue across generations. At Live & Learn, we are committed to breaking this cycle by providing women with education, job training, and resources to build safe and independent futures for themselves and their children. Together, we can make a difference. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #BreakTheCycle #SupportSurvivors #EndDomesticViolence #LiveAndLearnAZ

If you suspect someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, it’s important to approach the situation with care and compassion. Here’s how you can help: 1. Listen Without Judgment: Offer a safe space for them to talk. Avoid pressuring them to share more than they’re comfortable with. 2. Express Concern: Gently share your concerns, focusing on their well-being rather than blaming their partner. 3. Offer Resources: Provide information on local shelters, hotlines, and support services. 4. Respect Their Decisions: Leaving an abusive relationship is complicated. Support them in making decisions at their own pace. 5. Check In: Continue to check in with them, even if they’re not ready to take action. Your ongoing support can make all the difference. If you or someone you know is in need of help, don’t hesitate to reach out for support. 💜 #DomesticViolenceAwareness #SupportSurvivors #EndAbuse #LiveAndLearnAZ #BreakTheCycle

Recognizing the Signs of Domestic Violence: What You Need to Know Domestic violence often starts subtly, but over time, the abuse can escalate. Knowing the signs can help you support someone in need: 1. Physical Abuse: Look for frequent, unexplained injuries like bruises, cuts, or broken bones, often with inconsistent explanations. 2. Emotional Abuse: This includes constant belittling, threats, or manipulation to make the victim feel worthless or dependent. 3. Financial Abuse: An abuser might control all finances, deny access to money, or sabotage employment opportunities. 4. Isolation: A common tactic is cutting off the victim from family, friends, or any external support system. 5. Fear: Watch for anxiety, nervousness, or fear around their partner, or making excuses for their partner's behavior. If you or someone you know is experiencing these signs, reach out for help. Support is available, and no one should suffer in silence. 💜 #DomesticViolenceAwareness #SupportSurvivors #EndAbuse #LiveAndLearnAZ #BreakTheCycle #KnowTheSigns

This form of control leaves victims without access to money or resources, making it incredibly difficult to leave abusive situations. At Live & Learn, we are committed to helping women break free from all forms of abuse. Through education, job training, and financial literacy, we empower survivors to reclaim their independence and build safe, self-sufficient futures. #DomesticViolenceAwareness #EmpowerWomen #LiveAndLearnAZ #SupportSurvivors #BreakTheCycle
