The Lloyd and Shaw Sports Turf teams recently wrapped up a beautiful synthetic turf re-surface at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park! ⚾🐺 The project highlights include: -       Full synthetic turf re-surface with added shock pad to help achieve a consistent ball bounce -       Field drainage improvements -       Enhanced agility/ training area -       Upgraded home bullpen to meet NCAA standards -       1st NCAA field with Shaw's Game-On turf series with its multi-color capabilities – fewer stitches, more impact! Fun fact – this is Lloyd’s 3rd project for the University of Nevada, Reno, following Hixson Field and Mackay Stadium. Up Next: Marysville High School - CA! 🏃♀️👷♂️ After Lindhurst High School’s grand opening of their brand-new track and field facility, the Lloyd team was eager to continue work at Marysville High School! 🥳 This site broke ground back in August, completing demolition, installation of underground utilities, providing chemical lime treatment to the subgrade and stabilizing the aggregate base for various pavement pours. We had the privilege of delivering civil engineering services for a full redesign and replacement of Galveston Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona — all while the existing campus remained active 🏫. A lot of the work we do happens below the surface 🌍, laying the foundation for a smooth finish that brings the final vision to life. The photos may show the completed concept, but the real magic lies in the intricate, unseen work beneath. 🔧 Our Scope: - Grading & drainage🌧️ - Stormwater management and water & sewer extensions 🚰 - Electrical coordination above ground ⚡ - Offsite roadway improvements: wet utility connections, new curbs, sidewalks, and repaving 🚧 On of the unique project challenges was to maintain the existing drainage system throughout construction, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Our success was made possible through close collaboration with the City of Chandler, Arizona, Chandler Unified School District, and the design team 🤝.
