Congratulations to the newest graduates of the LHCDC Emergent Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP)! 🎉 After an intensive 5-week program, 15 entrepreneurs pitched their businesses to a panel of esteemed judges this past Saturday, with three participants winning a cash prize to jumpstart their business! These graduates are ready to make waves in their industries, equipped with the tools, resources and connections they need to bring their dreams to life. Thank you to our amazing judges Miguel Lopez, CFRE Viridiana Jasmin Quintana, Joey Diego Mendoza and Robert Lopez, MPA. What made this cohort extra special is that it was our first ever Spanish-language LEEP cohort. We want to extend a huge thank you to San Diego Foundation El Camino Fund for making this program possible and empowering local Latino entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level. Keep an eye out for our next LEEP cohort—maybe you’ll be our next LEEP Champion!

I had the honor of serving as a judge for Logan Heights Community Development Corporation Leep Program, where talented Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs presented their small business ideas. Witnessing their resilience, creativity, and drive to enhance economic mobility within their communities was truly inspiring. Experiences like these reinforce my deep passion for community work—supporting others as they pursue their dreams and lay down a solid foundation for a brighter future. I’m especially grateful for California Coast Credit Union partnership with Logan Heights CDC, as together, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact and empowering individuals and families to thrive.
