The Longroad Portland/Scarborough ME office threw down the gauntlet, challenging our Boston office to a softball showdown. On a scorching day, fired-up Longroaders left it all on the field. Despite Boston’s best efforts, Portland clinched the victory. A shout out to the Longroader players and fans. We’re already looking ahead to next year’s rematch! #LongroaderLife #Culture #Values #Winningteam #renewableenergy #solarpower #solarenergy #windenergy #windpower #energystorage #BESS

Tomorrow is Juneteenth, a federal and Longroad holiday commemorating the ending of slavery on June 19, 1865. According to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it would not be fully implemented until June 19, 1865, when "more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state [of Texas] were finally freed by executive decree. This day came to be known as ‘Juneteenth’ by the newly freed people of Texas." On this Juneteenth, Longroad commemorates the significance of the journey toward equality and recognition in American history. We have been on our own journey to recognize and support diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring that all voices within our organization, as well as in the communities we serve, are heard and respected. We are pleased to share that a new Longroad Employee Resource Group (ERG) has formed focusing on Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) voices. SHADES aims to create a safe space for BIPOC employees to grow as professionals and to keep the perspectives of the BIPOC community clearly in view as we navigate the long road to a greener future. Thank you to the SHADES leadership team of Terrance Aguillard, Andre Bisquera, Kindall Brantley, and Devin Hall. Juneteenth link: https://lnkd.in/g4EX_uUD #Juneteenth #Freedom #DEI

Taking a moment to recognize Mckayla Baker, our work-study student from Cristo Rey Boston High School, for her many contributions to Longroad during the past ten months. We appreciate the hard work, energy and enthusiasm that she brought to working with a number of our teams, including Asset Management, Development Operations & Origination, Financial Planning & Analysis, and HR. Feedback from Mckayla on her experience: "I’ve learned a lot about myself and my career interests while at Longroad. I enjoyed learning about renewable energy, and I met amazing and interesting people. I will share my experience at Longroad with my community so that they will increase their knowledge of renewable energy and encourage them to enter this field of work." A big thank you, and wishing Mckayla every success in the future! #renewableenergy #solarenergy #solarpower #windenergy #windpower #workstudy #lifeatLongroad #communityimpact #DEI

Proud to be a part of the Emissions First Partnership, helping to support a clean energy market that incentivizes the most impactful action. For more info, visit: https://lnkd.in/g5D4PeDU #renewableenergy #solarpower #windpower #renewables
The Emissions First Partnership is proud to announce five new allies: Clean Incentive, Longroad Energy, Quantum Energy, Inc., REsurety, Inc. and WattTime.org Clean Incentive operates a global registry for hourly RECs combined with marginal avoided emissions data, facilitating precise hourly-matching and carbon-matching procurement strategies to maximize environmental impact. Longroad Energy develops, owns, and operates utility scale wind, solar, and storage assets in the US. Quantum Energy, Inc. impact analytics platform quantifies avoided emissions and novel impact metrics (carbon and beyond) to enable high impact energy procurement, reporting, finance and communications. REsurety, Inc. provides software and services to support both the financial and sustainability goals of clean energy buyers, sellers, and investors. WattTime is a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of the enormous impact potential of shifting electricity use and generation in time and place, and to supporting research and the development of shared protocols for this practice. We are so excited to have these new allies on board to aid the effort in creating a clean energy market that incentivizes the most impactful action. If you are interested in joining this effort, please reach out to us at emissionsfirst@gmail.com to see how you can get involved!

“Success is a collection of problems solved.” - I.M. Pei “Good things happen when you meet strangers.” - Yo-Yo Ma Drawing on these insights from two luminaries of the AANHPI community, we reflect on the essence of problem solving and the power of connection. They closely align with our approach to building clean energy and engaging with the communities we serve. As we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Longroad honors the innovative accomplishments and vibrant cultural diversity of the AANHPI community. It is through collaboration, resilience and embracing diversity that we lay the foundation for a brighter, more sustainable future. #AANHPIHeritageMonth #CelebrateDiversity #InclusionMatters #AANHPI #DEI

We are continually inspired by the different ways Longroaders use their volunteer time off (VTO). Keith Johnston gives back by sharing his passion for fishing with local, active-duty service members. Volunteering fosters a sense of purpose and appreciation, both given and received, that can uplift spirits and enhance mental well being. This resonates even more during Mental Health Awareness Month. With our VTO, we make available some extra time for Longroaders to make a meaningful impact in their communities, and encourage a ripple effect of positivity. Clearly, sharing the thrill of landing a giant sturgeon delivers a powerful positive impact!
