brb sending gifts to our new robot overlords j/k While it's cool that robots can walk and dance (kinda) like us, there's something people can do 100x better than machines Create genuine, meaningful connections You can't outsource that to AI robots -- and you probably shouldn't trust them with babysitting either 😅

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay, so we want to tell you about one of the charities our customers support: NAMI. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. ❤️ Today they have more than 600 local Affiliates and 49 State Organizations working in communities to raise awareness and provide mental health support ❤️ NAMI shapes national public policy for people with mental illness and their families ❤️ The organization's toll-free HelpLine allows them to respond personally to hundreds of thousands of requests each year, providing free information and support ❤️ They envision a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. In early stage companies, I believe that "brand seeds" are a key factor in whether the company will be successful. That doesn't mean a fleshed out north star of where they want to take it or how they will get there or what it will even look like... but what "brand" at that stage does mean is: 1. The energy of the founding team. Is there the passion and spark and need to be different? To challenge the status quo? 2. The value system of what they stand for, what they believe in, and the culture they believe they want to build. If the company doesn't stand for anything, its very hard to build on top of that. 2. The belief system. Do they believe that anything is possible? The willingness to take big bets and make bold calls? I call all of these points "brand seeds" and they're incredibly important in determining whether a company has the makings of becoming successful. Is it a slam dunk? of course not. But the attitude, opinions, and belief systems of the founders at an early stage company shape everything. What are your "brand seeds" is deciding if a company is a fit for you?
