𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑫𝒂𝒚! We'd like to introduce another one of our interns, Andy, who is spending his summer in Loretto's IT Department. Andy is preparing to go into his senior year at Fayetteville-Manlius High School this fall. Andy helps IT with help desk tickets for employees, setting up equipment at different Loretto sites and much more. Andy says he chose to intern at Loretto because of the many opportunities he has to help people every day. "Not only did I want to help solve people's technical difficulties, but I also wanted to be part of a team doing real-work and making a difference in people's lives through a mission-drive organization." Some challenges he's faced at first were not knowing how to fix computer issues, but despite this, there is always someone nearby in Loretto's IT department to help get the job done and to instruct on how to fix the problem. After high school, he hopes to become a science major, specifically something related to biology and technology. After undergraduate studies, Andy plans on attending medical school. In his free time, Andy likes to play soccer, tennis and spend time with his family and friends. #NationalInternDay

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑫𝒂𝒚! This summer, Loretto is happy to welcome student interns looking to gain real-world experience before finishing their undergraduate studies. We'd like to introduce, Grace, a psychology major and sociology minor at Hobart William Smith Colleges, who is interning in our Human Resources department. Every day looks a bit different for Grace at Loretto, but typically, she catches up with our HR leaders in the morning to plan out her day. Then, she makes phone calls to past and present Loretto employees to talk about their experiences. She also helps wherever she is needed in HR. Grace says she's learned a lot about what working in a professional office looks like and how a bigger company operates. Luckily, she hasn't experienced too many challenges while working at Loretto, besides getting used to waking up early! In her spare time, you can find her reading, going on walks with her dogs, shopping or cooking.
