What will you choose? In current times, it is easy to see why some tech executives considering a job change are worried. We are on the edge of (or entering) some sort of recession and that brings challenges to every company. It makes some people seek security over opportunity.  As someone who has been in the tech industry through multiple recessions over 30 years, I can see this going one of 2 ways for people wanting a new challenge, greater impact, and to be valued even more for what they do: 1. Change nothing and continue to feel stuck, frustrated, overworked, and stressed about your career and your future. 2. Find out what works in THIS job market (versus even the job market of a few months ago), embrace some new strategies and tactics to ensure that they don’t end up unhappy and unemployed. I wouldn’t want to work with leaders who choose option 1. For those willing to pick option 2, the best advice I have if you want a new opportunity to lead with purpose, and create an impact that makes you proud is: don’t quit!
