Meet the #FacesofTourism
In this series, we shine a spotlight on individuals who make Louisiana a must-visit destination, helping contribute to our $1.9 billion tourism industry. Today, we're proud to feature a dynamic duo taking the world of beach volleyball by storm: Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss, better known as "TKN."
These two stars first joined forces at LSU, where they made history in 2021 by going an incredible 36-0 on court 1 during their beach volleyball season. Their remarkable journey didn’t end there—after turning professional, TKN has continued to dominate the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and the AVP Pro Beach Tour, earning a coveted spot on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
While Nuss hails from New Orleans and Kloth is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, both athletes consider Louisiana their home. Their globe trotting careers have only deepened their love and appreciation for the unique culture, spirit, and people of this state.
Beyond their success on the court, Nuss and Kloth give back through their 656 Foundation, dedicated to supporting the sport and the communities that have given them so much. Their passion for beach volleyball and Louisiana shines through in everything they do, making them true ambassadors for the state and a prime example of the faces that make Louisiana’s tourism industry thrive. TKN continues to inspire both fans and future athletes as they create their own path in the sport of beach volleyball while proudly representing Louisiana on the global stage.
