The deadline to register as a public speaker is 48 hours before the scheduled meeting (9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 17). King is a calm mannered dog who will be needing continued treatment for his medical needs. Medical: 09/09/24: Eating in tx room, panting. When walking appears lame on R fore and L hind limbs. Reluctant to stand on any three legs. R hind seems painful on palpation/deviated laterally. L for elbow seems a little swollen/heat. OU- keratitis and thick purulent discharge, OD- constant blepharospasms/probable upper and lower lids entropion, OS- lower lid entropion. Thick purulent discharge from both nostrils. Swollen mucosa in both nostrils, small ulcerated area in R nostril. ROs- inflammatory response +/- stenotic nares. Started on carprofen, amoxi clav, probiotic, and erythromycin oph oint. Will need sedated ( more than dexmedetomidine ) rads for limbs, pelvis, and spine. Will need entropion surgery on possibly three lids and possible stenotic nares surgical correction. Recommend he go to a rescue so he can receive further care. Gave first doses of carprofen ( inj ), amoxi clav and erythromycin. 09/13/24: x-rays and bloodwork completed SHELTER OBSERVATION On 9/8/24 During the observation, the dog showed no signs of aggression, allowed the staff to pet him, was willing to walk on a leash, and overall a good dog Dallas Animal Services (Texas) To adopt: email dasadopt@dallas.gov and go to the shelter at 1818 N. Roger is a calm, easy-going dog who walks well on a leash and enjoys attention. He’s friendly with other dogs but prefers light socializing. Roger was found with wounds on his back legs that haven’t improved with current treatment. He has a vet check today to assess his condition. This sweet boy is looking for a home where he can get the care and love he needs. Medical: 09/06/24 12:11 p has wounds to both hind feet. They are not actively bleeding. Starting Antibiotics and pain meds. 09/13/24 10:50 Wound appears open now. Worse than when he first came in. tried to place e-collar and p removed it 3 times. PLAYGROUP: PG1 - SOCIAL DG - DAINTY & GENTLE On 9/12/24 Roger had his tail wagging coming out with the others and was curious to sniff around and explore the yard . Was open to approach others and would approach the group for some light socializing . Enjoyed sticking with the group and mingling with the others but didn't mind taking time to himself to sniff around alone SHELTER OBSERVATION On 4/15/24 very friendly, social, calm, when approaching him he wagged his tail, was able to easily place leash on him, walked good on the leash, will stop and pull when passing by doors but calling him and letting him take the first steps helps him, laid his head on my lap hinting he wanted some pets and attention, very sweet, was content when i was petting him while i was intakiing at the same time, really good boy Dallas Animal Services (Texas) To adopt: email dasadopt@dallas.gov and go to the shelter at 1818 N.
