With the addition of sports like Skateboarding to the Olympics, we were wondering about Baseball's relationship with the Olympics and here's what we discovered! Baseball has had a complex relationship with the Olympics. While it was once a regular feature, it faced a period of exclusion before making a comeback. Early Days: Baseball first appeared at the 1900 Paris Olympics as a demonstration sport. It gained more prominence in the following decades, with iconic moments like a game played before 100,000 spectators at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Official Competition: Baseball became an official Olympic sport in 1992, with Cuba dominating the early years. Exclusion and Return: Unfortunately, baseball was dropped from the Olympic program after the 2008 Beijing Games. However, due to popular demand, it made a triumphant return at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for a single appearance. It is next expected to be part of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. #olympics #baseball #AchieveBeyond
